One of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the superhero that started it all! Iron Man (2008) began a saga that would soon weave together a group of icons who would become known as The Avengers (2012).
Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe currently has over thirty movies and spinoffs under its belt, over fifteen additional productions coming soon, and plenty more to be announced! Needless to say, Marvel Studios has been an enormous success for the Walt Disney Company.
The Marvel comic book characters are cherished by Disney fans, so much so that Disney has incorporated rides and Marvel-themed lands into their Theme Parks. When Iron Man, aka Tony Stark (brilliantly played by Robert Downey Jr.) died in Avengers Endgame (2019), fans were crushed!
Videos started popping up on social media showing fan reactions in the theater. At the end of the movie, when the film credits roll, each of the Avengers is shown along with signatures from the actors who played them.
Iron Man is always the standout in the group with audiences honoring their favorite character with thunderous applause. With the Multiverse being a current theme in many of the new Marvel Studios movies, fans have wondered if the witty character would make a comeback.

Although we’re not quite sure if this will happen in a future Marvel film, we do have news of a new Iron Man! Diehard Disney fan and actor John Stamos posted a video with Iron Man yesterday in Disney California Adventure Park.
Standing in front of the superhero, he exclaims, “There’s a new Iron Man in town, ya know, and it’s not you!” That’s right; John Stamos will be playing Tony Stark.
Starting on August 19, the actor will be voicing the character in Disney Junior’s computer-animated series, Spidey and his Amazing Friends (2021)! The actor recently played Chef Louis in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Live (2019)!
Stamos famously proposed to his wife at Disneyland, and the couple shares a son together. I’m sure he can’t wait to hear his daddy’s voice in the cartoon!
