Haunted Mansion at Disneyland Closing

Disney is known for some of the most iconic theme Park attractions. It is now posted to the Disneyland calendar that one of the most popular rides will be closed down soon.

Disney transforms their Parks into a Christmas, holiday, and winter wonderland in what feels like an overnight sensation. Of course, changing the Parks over from their everyday look to a festive theme takes more than just one night. Scheduled to return this fall, after the Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland will be flipped upside down from a Halloween theme to Christmas.

Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion is set to close to begin reimagining the attraction in time for the holiday season.

What makes the Haunted Mansion so unique compared to other attractions is how it is decorated for the holidays. Instead of using the theme of Halloween and then again transforming it for the winter holidays, Disney combines both. This allows Guests to experience the ride reimagined throughout the fall season. So if you aren’t visiting Disneyland for Halloween, don’t sweat it! There is plenty of time to see this spooky delight featuring a favorite character, Jack Skellington, from ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ (1993).

Haunted Mansion Closure

Haunted Mansion is set to close Monday, August 14, 2023, and is scheduled to re-open on September 1, 2023. Although the ride will only be closed for less than a month, Guests will want to keep note they cannot visit their favorite ride during this time.

Before the closure, Guests can continue to enjoy the foreboding estate and experience a shivering journey through the home, grinning with ghosts. After September 1, Guests can get ready to enjoy Haunted Mansion as it’s “Decked Out for The Hallow-Days.”
