Have you ever wanted to visit Walt Disney World late at night? It sounds like every Disney fan’s childhood dream to stay up past your bedtime and visit a Disney Park!

This special event begins on January 4 and lasts until April 19. Unfortunately for fans of Animal Kingdom and EPCOT, this year’s Disney After Hours event is only offering tickets for Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom.

Although Magic Kingdom may be the most popular Walt Disney World Park by day, Hollywood Studios has been the popular choice for Disney After Hours. Within a manner of weeks, both the first and second dates for Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios sold out.

However, Magic Kingdom has just experienced its first sold-out date for this year’s special event. There are a few reasons for this Disney Park’s limited popularity when it comes to this special event.

For one, Magic Kingdom is the most family-friendly Park at Walt Disney World, making it less exciting for most adults to visit on their own. Not only that, but the late hours of this special event also make it less appropriate for younger children to attend.

Another reason may be the pricing. Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios offers tickets priced from $129-$149, while Magic Kingdom offers tickets from $135-$159.

Hollywood Studios is also home to more ‘must-ride’ attractions than Magic Kingdom, making the idea of fewer crowds more enticing.

Whichever the reason, Magic Kingdom’s first Disney After Hours date, January 9, has finally sold out. Now that one date has sold out, more are sure to follow.
