Disney’s Hollywood Studios is under some major refurbishment, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be a fun-fill, full day park! Guests have a chance to enter into the fictional universes of Star Wars and The Twilight Zone, watch the careful planning and safety behind big action stunts, and even shrink down toy size! Here is a great plan to fit fifteen activities into one day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Keep in mind, when Toy Story Land opens on June 30, 2018, this list will change drastically!

15. Toy Story Mania First

This is by far the most popular attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and can often have wait times exceeding two hours on crowded days. Heading straight to Toy Story Mania as soon as the park opens allows guests to get on the standby line and only experience a short wait before boarding. The attraction shrinks guests down to the size of a toy and takes them through a series of interactive 3D midway games hosted by Woody, Buzz, and the gang. A great way to experience this awesome attraction twice is to wait on the stand by line right after park opening and then book a FastPass for another time in the day so that guests can return and again only have a short wait.

14. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Single Rider

This thrilling experience can be found on Sunset Boulevard and it takes guests into the studio with Aerosmith at G Force Records. Guests are invited to a concert across town and soon find themselves rocketing through downtown Los Angeles to make it to the show in time. A great way to experience the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is to take advantage of the single rider line which always has a much lower wait time than the regular line. As long as guests don’t mind their party being split up, they can still have the same ride experience while saving lots of time that otherwise would have been spent waiting on line.

13. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror FastPass

Located right next door to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, this eerie attraction takes guests and makes them the star of their very own episode of The Twilight Zone. Guests step into the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel and soon find themselves on an evil service elevator bound to repeat what happened on an infamous night decades ago. To save time, a great plan is to book FastPasses for this attraction in advance!

12. Beauty and the Beast – Live On Stage

This wonderful performance takes guests into Belle’s world for a retelling of the classic animated Disney film. Featuring musical numbers, wonderful acting, and a dramatic happy ending, guests should be sure to visit this performance on a day in the park. The show only runs several times a day, so guests should be sure to consult a times guide at the front of the park for show times.

Browse through the shop to see the incredible Star Wars movie props; watch the Star Wars saga 10-minute movie in the Star Wars Launch Bay Theater; and even visit with Star Wars characters such as Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, and BB-8. One note to add, Star Wars Jedi, Rey, will be joining this meet and greet line up in May 2018!

10. Mickey and Minnie Starring in Red Carpet Dreams

Here’s your chance to meet Sorcerer Mickey! Mickey sports his classic Fantasia outfit while Minnie is dazzling in her red carpet best. We love this spot for great photos, autographs, and typically short wait times!

9. Walt Disney Presents (formerly Walt Disney: One Man’s Dream)

This classic attraction has recently undergone some changes! Walt Disney Presents continued to offer guests a chance to view the history of Walt, but now has the addition of a space for guests to preview what’s on the horizon. Models such as the Toy Story Land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and even Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway attraction are available to preview. We’ve always loved this informative collection of memorabilia, designs, and historical models about Walt. Now we get to experience the past, present, and future of Walt Disney! It’s rarely crowded and provides a great way to cool off as it is totally air-conditioned.

8. Voyage of the Little Mermaid

This live production takes guests under the sea with Ariel and friends and features several of the hit musical numbers from the classic animated Disney film. Featuring puppets, live acting, animation, and special effects, the show should definitely not be missed.

7. Disney Junior – Live on Stage!

This kid friendly show features several different acts performed by puppets and live actors. Highlighting Disney Junior shows like Sophia the First and Doc McStuffins, Disney Junior –Live on Stage will have kids and adults singing and clapping along.

6. For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

This interactive performance highlights the hit songs from the ever popular Disney movie Frozen. Featuring live performances by Anna, Elsa, and other characters, audience members are encouraged to sing along to favorite songs like “Let It Go.” Since the movie and show are so popular, guests should be sure to get there early for each performance to guarantee a seat!

5. Muppet Vision 3D

The Muppets are known for their zany and corny humor and this attraction is no exception. Guests enter into a pre-show area bursting with corny jokes, sight gags, and silly props. Once inside the theater, the Muppets lead guests on a tour of their headquarters and soon the tour is running amok with the usual Muppet silliness!

4. Star Tours – The Adventure Continues

Fans of the Star Wars universe should definitely not miss this thrilling 3D adventure piloted by C3PO. Guests board what should be a normal Star Tours flight, but soon find themselves as members of the Rebel Alliance after learning that there is a rebel spy on board. Each experience on Star Tours is different thanks to a randomly selected sequence of scenes, making it worth returning for multiple rides!

3. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!

This massive production takes guests into the world of Indiana Jones and demonstrates how stunts are safely and effectively executed in iconic scenes. There is even an opportunity for guests over the age of eighteen to be selected from the audience to be a part of the show! This performance also only runs several times a day, so guests should sure to check a times guide for show times.

2. Fantasmic!

This nightly spectacular is performed in the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater located off of Sunset Boulevard behind The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The story centers on an epic battle between good and evil in Mickey’s imagination and features classic Disney music, lovable characters, pyrotechnics, animation, dancing water, and special effects. The show is a fan favorite, so guests should be sure to line up for the performance up to an hour before show time to secure a seat.

1. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular

It doesn’t matter if you are a Star Wars nerd or not – Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is the perfect way to close out a night at Hollywood Studios! Watch as the Chinese Theater turns into a huge screen for a 14-minute show full of high-definition projection surrounded by lasers, fire, incredible music and sound effects, and of course – the sky lights up with awesome fireworks! It’s an unforgettable Hollywood Studios moment!

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
