Disney continues to roll out new surprises in celebration of their 100-year anniversary. In addition to the big changes coming to the Parks of both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, including nighttime shows and character costumes, there’s another change showing up on some menus.

Introducing…

The Cinderella Premium Popcorn Bucket!

This Magic Kingdom exclusive displays Cinderella inside her royal carriage while donning her beautiful white wedding gown. The carriage’s main cabin is platinum and accented with intricate detail, royal purple wheels, and a reflective finish that rivals that of luxury vehicles fit for a princess.

The top of the platinum carriage comes off, holding your delicious Disney World popcorn inside. There is a long white lanyard strap branded with “100 Years of Wonder” to celebrate Disney’s big anniversary.

Fans of Disney are no strangers to commemorative popcorn buckets. Through the many years and celebrations, Disneyland and Walt Disney World have had their fair share of unique offerings, including the Figment Popcorn Bucket in EPCOT, the R2-D2 Popcorn Bucket to celebrate Star Wars Weekends, and Toy Story Alien Popcorn Buckets when Toy Story Land opened in Disney’s Studios. Some of these versions have been welcomed with lines that stretch miles throughout the parks. Others, not so much…

Popcorn may be one of the least exciting snacks to buy at Walt Disney World. But designers at Disney are always looking for ways to “plus” experiences.

This special edition popcorn bucket is already available at Disneyland Resort in California, where the Disney100 celebrations are already on their way. But Walt Disney World fans don’t have to wait long before the Disney100 Cinderella Carriage Popcorn Bucket rolls into the Magic Kingdom.

About Steven Wilk

Steven has a complicated relationship with Disney. As a child, he visited Walt Disney World every few years with his family. But he never understood why kids his age (and older) were so scared of Snow White or Alien Encounter. He is a former participant of the Disney College Program (left early…long story), and he also previously worked in Children’s publishing, where he adapted multiple Disney movies and TV shows. He has many controversial opinions about Disney…like having a positive view of Michael Eisner, believing Return of the Jedi is superior to The Empire Strikes Back, and that Toy Story Land and Galaxy’s Edge should have never been built (at least not at Hollywood Studios). Every year for the past two decades, Steven has visited either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani or went on a Disney Cruise. He’s happy to share any and all knowledge of the Disney destinations (and he likes using parenthesis a lot…as well as ellipses…)
