Major Policy Change Coming Soon to Disney Cruise Line

Cruising has been unpredictable over the past few months. Many families are getting back to going on that dream vacation, and Disney Cruise Line has been doing everything they can to make sure that all Guests and Crew Members are safe.

Currently, all Guests ages five and up must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. You are required to upload your vaccination card and it must be approved before you are at the port. All Guests are also required to take a rapid COVID-19 test before boarding the ship.

Since cruising has reopened on Disney Cruise Line, all Guests and Crew Members were required to wear a face covering at all times while indoors. The exception to this rule was if you are in your stateroom or sitting down eating.

Today March 3, on the official Disney Cruise Line website, they announced that beginning March 11, 2022, face coverings would be optional for most indoor locations throughout the ship. All Guests who are two and up, including those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, will still be required to wear a face covering in the Walt Disney Theater.

Children under five years old who are currently ineligible to be vaccinated are required to wear a face covering and youth activity spaces and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.

 

Disney Cruise Line is still strongly encouraging Guests to wear face covering in other indoor locations even though it will no longer be required. It is pointed out that there may be certain Ports of Call where face coverings will still be required due to local government rules.

We are in strange times, but it is wonderful that we are slowly starting to get back to normal. With COVID-19 cases going down, it is great that we can have that time as a family and travel together once again.
