The change occurs in accordance with the Los Angeles County mask mandate, which has been dropped today. Governor Gavin Newsom announced recently that the state is moving past the crisis stage of the pandemic and that he would loosen the restrictions.

Masks are still strongly recommended while indoors at Theme Parks, Shops, and Resorts but will no longer be a requirement. Prior to this change, Universal Studios Hollywood Guests were required to wear a mask at all times unless they were eating or drinking. They were also required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test to enter the Park.

At Disneyland Resort which is an Orange County, masks are optional for Guests in outdoor areas but we’re required for unvaccinated Guests at indoor locations throughout the Park including indoor attractions and indoor lines. Masks were required for all Guests regardless of vaccination status in indoor areas like Disney shuttles and health stations such as first aid.
