This Beloved Holiday Event Is Now Completely Sold Out at Walt Disney World

The holiday season kicked off immediately following Halloween at the Walt Disney World Resort, and now by Thanksgiving week, many of the festivities are in full swing.

Returning to Walt Disney World this holiday season is the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, including Candlelight Processional, the Merry Menagerie in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail, and new seasonal experiences at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park, along with breathtaking displays around Disney Resorts.

The most popular event of the holiday season is without a doubt Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which takes place select nights in the Magic Kingdom through December 22, 2022. The event is back at this Disney Park for the first time since 2019, and much like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this fall, the Christmas party is already completely sold out due to pent-up demand.

Tickets for this year’s party ranged from $139-199 depending on the date, compared to 2019 pricing of $95-139, and Disney’s Very Merriest After Hours event pricing (which took place instead of the Christmas party for the past two years) of $169-249.

This year’s party features Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, and Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, along with “snow” on Main Street, U.S.A., exclusive character meet and greets, and complimentary cookies and seasonal beverages like hot cocoa and cider.

With this year’s event sold out, you may actually want to visit the Magic Kingdom on dates that the party is scheduled for as crowds in this Disney Park can be lighter on days with an early closure. And, if you happen to be visiting Walt Disney World Christmas week, you can still catch Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day after the party concludes for the season.
