This EPCOT Restaurant Is Reopening Soon With a New Prix Fixe Menu

The Walt Disney World Resort has largely returned to “normal” following restrictions from earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic, however, some experiences around Disney Parks and Resorts have been slow to return.

Many of the experiences still missing fall under Disney’s dining offerings, largely due to staffing issues that are still prevalent at restaurants across the Parks and Resorts. With the return of Disney International Programs, though, we are beginning to see several locations either reopen or increase capacity, including one fan-favorite EPCOT dining experience.

Around World Showcase, Guests can dine in 11 different countries with restaurants ranging from quick-service options and lounges to signature dining experiences. In the France pavilion, Disney just announced that Monsieur Paul will be reopening on October 18, 2022, with an all-new prix fixe menu.

Monsieur Paul offers Guests the ultimate upscale, gourmet French dining experience nearby its more casual neighbor, Chefs de France. While the prix fixe element of the menu is entirely new when the restaurant reopens next week, Guests will continue to see the high standard of modern twists on traditional French dining that the location is known for.

The new prix fixe menu begins with a Starter Cocktail of Apéritif, amuse-bouche featuring a glass of champagne with a cheese puff gougère. Next up is the first course of appetizers where Guests can choose between Maine Lobster salad, Escargot cassolette, or a Saffron mussels soup. The fish course follows with the option to choose from dishes like seared scallops and fresh snapper. The meat course offers rack of lamb, grilled center-cut beef tenderloins, or Chicken fricassee.

The gourmet meal is then capped off with a plate of assorted French cheeses for each Guests and a dessert selection with a choice of one from Sphère de chocolat au lait, glace au chocolat, sauce tiède au chocolat et cognac
Chocolate almond cake, chocolate cream, hazelnut biscuit, chocolate ice cream, warm chocolate Cognac sauce, an apple tart, or meringue.

Monsieur Paul is one of the only in-Park signature restaurants to have a dress code (that basically enforces that Guests look neat and appropriate and are not wearing swimsuits.) While it is not often strictly enforced, we recommend noting it ahead of your visit just to be safe. The restaurant is also open to Guests ages 10 and over.

Prices with the new menu have not yet been revealed, but Disney’s website lists Monsieur Paul as $$$$ or over $60 per person. The no-show fee for Guests who make a reservation and do not cancel is $100, so the price point should be closer to this amount.

Disney describes Monsieur Paul as:

Gourmet Dining, Magical Surroundings
Delight in the culture and flavors of France that renowned chef Paul Bocuse has shared with the world for decades.

Formerly Bistro de Paris restaurant in EPCOT, Monsieur Paul is located just upstairs from Les Chefs de France, the French Brasserie in the France Pavilion.

Here, you’ll discover a focused wine list, inventive twists on traditional French dinner and breathtaking views of World Showcase. This is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or simply savor delectable cuisine in a serene setting.
