Seven Bullets After the Fireworks: Disney World Uber Shooting Exposes the Limits of the “Magic”

For the millions of families who flock to Central Florida every year, Walt Disney World is the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” It is a carefully engineered oasis of safety, where the “Disney Bubble” protects guests from the harsh realities of the outside world. But a terrifying incident reported this week has sent a shockwave through the community, proving that even the strongest magic has its limits once you step outside the park gates.

On January 1, 2026, what should have been a routine end to a day of Disney thrills turned into a ballistic nightmare for one Orlando Uber driver. Following a ride that originated on Disney property, the driver was shot at seven times over a dispute involving a tip and an extended stop.

The Incident: Seven Shots in the Dark

According to the Osceola County Sheriffโ€™s Office, the violence erupted following a pickup near the heart of the Disney resort area. The victim, a dedicated rideshare driver, picked up a passengerโ€”later identified as 21-year-old Alexis Armando Encarnacion Rosadoโ€”late in the evening.

The ride took a turn for the worse when the passenger requested a waypoint stop at a local Denny’s. The driver waited for nearly 30 minutes, and when the trip resumed, he politely suggested that the passenger should provide a larger tip to compensate for the significant delay. That request triggered an explosion of rage.

Deputies report that Rosado began shouting and spat in the driverโ€™s face before exiting the vehicle near Greenway Road and Sanchez Drive. As the driver attempted to pull away, the suspect allegedly pulled a firearm from a backpack and fired seven rounds into the back of the car. Miraculously, the driver escaped without physical injury, but his vehicle was riddled with bullet holesโ€”a grim reminder of how quickly the “magic” can vanish.

The Arrest: Digital Breadcrumbs in the “Bubble”

Thanks to the digital footprint left behind in the rideshare app, detectives were able to move with lightning speed. The suspect used the account name “Mr. OG,” which investigators quickly linked to Rosadoโ€™s phone number and email address.

Rosado, who was already on felony probation, was apprehended and booked into the Osceola County Jail. He now faces multiple felony charges, including shooting into an occupied vehicle, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, and battery.

Safety at Disney World: Where the Bubble Ends

Disney World is world-renowned for its “Invisible Security.” Inside the parks, guests are protected by biometric scanners, thousands of cameras, and a massive plainclothes security force. However, this shooting highlights the vulnerability of the “Transition Zones”โ€”the rideshare hubs at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and the resort lobbies.

Once a guest enters a private Uber or Lyft, they effectively leave the Disney security apparatus. In these private spaces, the unpredictable nature of the “real world” takes over, often fueled by what experts call “Theme Park Rage.”

The Reality of “Theme Park Rage”

In 2026, a Disney vacation is a high-stakes, emotionally and financially intensive investment. When you combine record-high costs for Lightning Lane Premier Passes with 12-hour days in the Florida heat, tempers can reach a breaking point. In this instance, a simple dispute over a few dollars catalyzed life-threatening violence.

Conclusion: Protecting the Journey Home

The shooting of an Uber driver stands in stark contrast to the values of the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” As Disney continues its massive expansion, the safety of the journey home must become a top priority. For now, this incident serves as a sobering reminder to remain vigilant, even when the fireworks are still fresh in your mind.

  1. This just goes to show that ALL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MUST BE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY AND DEPORTED OUT OF AMERICA AT ALL COSTS
when you go to the parks you can see just how many are in the WDW area and ICE should be called in to clean up the NOT SO MAGICAL PLACE
THEY DO NOT BELONG HERE AND IF THIS IMMIGRANT HAD A GUN IN HIS BACKPACK HOW DID HE GET THRU SECURITY?????

    • How do you know that the orlando area has illegals when this is a tourist mecca of people from all over the world. Iโ€™m pro ICE but you ere lumping all people together as illegals and thatโ€™s not what we are about. Yes there are people who need to be deported but letโ€™s let ICE determine who they are.

  2. If you read the article about the immigrant shooting 7 shots at a dedicated UBER DRIVER tells you enough to know he is NOT A NATURAL BORN AMERICAN with a 5 word name and HE IS hostile immigrant right here in the Orlando area!!! Yes there are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS RIGHT HERE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA and all over the state for that matter
ICE NEEDS TO COME TO FLORIDA NEXT ON THEIR AGENDA AND GET THEM ALL OUT OF AMERICS

  3. The problem isn’t the “immigrants ” the problem is the fact the there are way to many guns that anyone can purchase and carry anywhere due to unbelievably lenient gun ownership and carry laws
