Extended Hours and New Virtual Queue Perk for Deluxe Resort Guests

When choosing a hotel at Disney World, it can be hard to even know where to begin. Do you prioritize distance to the Parks, good transportation links, amenities, theme, price? There are so many things to consider. That being said, one more thing you might want to think about is the perks. Especially the perks at the “Deluxe” Disney-owned resorts.

Deluxe Resorts at Disney World are the most elite hotels with the highest price band. But don’t let that deter you. There are plenty of room options so you can still find average-priced rooms at a few of these resorts. Some of the most popular Deluxe Resorts at Walt Disney World include Boardwalk Inn, Wilderness Lodge, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club Resort, Polynesian Village Resort, Yacht Club Resort, and the newest and highly anticipated, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.

These top-tier Disney Resorts are designed to perfection, have premium and convenient locations, and also come with special Park privileges that make it all worthwhile, especially during the busiest months.

All Guests staying at Disney World Resorts will have early theme Park entry. This means you can rope drop your favorite rides (bolt to a ride when the gates open so there are no lines). This is a great perk but only lasts for 30 minutes. BUT, if you are staying at a Deluxe Resort, you’ll also be offered “Extended Evening Hours”.

Extended evening hours at Walt Disney World are strictly only offered to Guests staying at Deluxe Resorts, or Disney Vacation Club members. When the Park closing hours are approaching, Cast Members will begin going around and scanning Magicbands. For those who can prove their stay at a Deluxe Resort, you’ll get to stay in the Park for an extra hour or two, while everyone else has to leave.

This is prime time for those who want to hop on their favorite rides and have little to no queues. It’s also a great option (if you can stay up this late) to get some premium Park time in the morning, and in the evening, and maybe relax by the pool at your hotel during the hottest part of the day.

Disney has also just announced that Guests staying at Deluxe resorts will have a third opportunity to join the virtual queue for the popular new ride “Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind”.

“At 6:00 PM on extended evening theme park hours nights at EPCOT, Guests staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort, Disney Deluxe Villa Resort or other select hotels will have an additional opportunity to request to join the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.”

Disney sure does make it enticing to stay at the Delux Resorts, in our opinion, totally worth it for those premium Park hours.
