Police Chase Woman Through Orlando International Airport, But Not How You Might Expect

In the bustling heart of Orlando International Airport, a traveler lifts their drink in a casual toast while another guest strolls through the terminal—offering a laid-back scene that sharply contrasts with the adrenaline-fueled chase happening elsewhere in this iconic travel hub. Framed by soaring windows and bathed in natural light, these everyday airport moments remind theme park fans that sometimes the real adventure is just getting to your favorite destination.

There are strange stories that happen all around Central Florida. Many of them happen at Walt Disney World like fights breaking out and other crazy altercations all around the property.

This story happened not too far from the theme parks. At the Orlando International Airport, the Orlando Police Department shared one of the craziest police chases they’ve ever seen.

In this clip, you can see an OPD officer on a bicycle chasing a drunk woman around the Orlando International airport on a motorized suitcase. Yes, you read that correctly; she tried to escape on a motorized suitcase.

Gloved hands gripping the handlebars, someone pedals a bike indoors across a lively patterned carpet, weaving past rows of seating and a service counter—calling to mind the kind of unexpected chase scene you might catch at Orlando International Airport, but with all the playful unpredictability you’d expect from an entertainment venue.

LPD Officer Andrew Mamone was seen backing up a Southwest gate agent at the beginning of the video. 32-year-old Chelsea Alston was trying to book a flight from Orlando to New York but was extremely intoxicated.

Alston said she had been waiting for a while but is told by employees that she cannot board the flight this intoxicated. Mamone said, “You just need to go over to the terminal and sober up a little bit. Get another flight”.

You can see that Alston curses at the officer before riding away on her motorized suitcase. Employees even joke how they are surprised how fast this suitcase could go.

Travelers lounge in the Orlando International Airport terminal, some relaxing with bags at their sides, while airport team members stride efficiently past—a scene that feels more like a theme park crowd eagerly waiting for the next attraction than a spot where a police chase just happened. The staff’s cool composure brings to mind Cast Members keeping lines moving at Disney World after an unexpected Main Street parade—everyone adapting smoothly to surprises amidst the buzz of adventure.

Alston ends up going to an area that she is not allowed to be in, and it is seen that Mamone tries to work with her, even saying he will race her on his bike. He tries to play the nice guy until she spits on him, which was the final straw.

Indoors at Disney World, a guest relaxes with a water bottle in hand while another reaches out, creating a surprisingly peaceful moment that feels worlds away from the uproar of an airport police chase—bringing unexpected calm into the heart of the action-packed park.

Mamone decides to put Alston under arrest, but the story doesn’t end here. Once she was in the patrol car, she defecated on the seat, causing over $11,000 in damages.

She now faces battery charges on a police officer and damaging a police vehicle. She could have up to 10 years in prison. The moral of the story is do not get drunk and ride a motorized suitcase. It probably will not end up going well for you.
