As rumors swirled about Walt Disney World Resort activating the existing Single Rider line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the Central Florida Disney park made another change to the EPCOT attraction.

Walt Disney Imagineering recently enhanced the France World Showcase Pavilion attraction, adding seat numbers for guests. This change represents a potential evolution in the ride’s operational efficiency, aimed at streamlining the boarding process. Each row of the rat cars now features distinct seat numbers—1, 2, and 3—located on the backs of the bench seats.

Redditor u/Traviscat shared this photo of the new feature:

Currently, Disney cast members are not actively utilizing the seat numbers as part of the boarding process. It remains to be seen how these added identifiers will function in practice. They are designed in a way that aligns aesthetically with existing row numbers in the boarding area, suggesting that future operational adjustments may incorporate them more fully.

Alongside clear boarding directions, there is growing speculation about the anticipated implementation of a single rider system on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. The physical line has existed since the attraction first opened in 2021, yet it has not been actively utilized.

A single rider line would allow solo visitors or those willing to ride separately to enjoy Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure without significant wait times. With the ride’s popularity, especially during busy seasons at Walt Disney World Resort, a dedicated single rider line could significantly improve overall ride efficiency.

The introduction of seat numbers may pave the way for this system, making it easier for Disney cast members to count and direct guests.
