Race Themes Confirmed for the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Ready for your next runDisney race? Themes for events during the 15th anniversary Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend for next year were just revealed, and we can’t wait to sign up!

The 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend presented by CORKCICLE takes place at the Walt Disney World Resort February 23-26, 2023.

The official runDisney blog just shared the details for next year’s Disney Princess race weekend, including the inspiration for the 15th anniversary weekend, themes for each race and more.

The anniversary Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will be a celebration of Disney Princesses and their support systems, a nod to the way that runners have support systems who get them through these challenging events. Support can mean the families we are born into or the ones we choose, and the princesses featured in next year’s weekend of events will surely exemplify these values.

The 2023 Disney Princess 5K will celebrate Princess Jasmine! During this event presented by CORKCICLE, runners are invited to take a turn “outside the palace walls” with Jasmine along with her friends, Raja, Abu, Carpet, and Aladdin, during the 3.1-mile race.

Belle is the princess featured in the Disney Princess 10K for 2023. In this event, CORKCICLE presents Guests with a 6.2-mile run inspired by Belle from Beauty and the Beast (1991) alongside Lumiere, Cogsworth, Chip, and Mrs. Potts.

Next year’s half marathon is a 13.1-mile race featuring Moana, giving Guests the chance to practice their “wayfinding” with Gramma Tala leading the way throughout the course, along with some extra motivation by Pua, Hei Hei, and of course, Maui.

For the ultimate challenge, runners at the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend can complete both the 10K and the half marathon. Runners who do both will have completed the Disney Fairy Tale Challenge (19.3 miles!), inspired by Cinderella and her mice friends, Gus Gus, Jacque, Suzy, and Perla, along with Fairy Godmother.

Virtual races will once again be offered for each of the event during next year’s Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, which is sure to be welcome news for runners hoping to participate who cannot make it to Walt Disney World during race weekend.
