Return Date Announced for Minnie Vans at Walt Disney World!

Another pre-pandemic Guest service is returning soon to Walt Disney World! Minnie Vans, operated by Lyft, were the adorably-themed private car service that allowed Guests direct transportation to any destination on Walt Disney World property. They are also a favorite for Guests with little ones, as each Minnie Van comes with two complimentary car seats!

Guests have long been awaiting the return of Minnie Vans, especially earlier this year when Disney’s Magical Express service ended, prompting more Guests to consider renting a car for their Walt Disney World vacations.

Now, we are excited to share that Minnie Vans will return later this month!

The Disney Parks Blog shared that Minnie Vans will once again be available for Guests at Walt Disney World beginning June 29, 2022.

Once the vans are back, Guests will be able to make their way around Disney property, between resorts and theme parks, as well as to water parks, and Disney Springs, all by requesting a car through the app. Accessible Minnie Vans are available upon request, and each van does come with those to car seats with younger travelers.

In the past, Minnie Vans were also especially popular with Guests at the Magic Kingdom as the vans would pick up and drop off in the Magic Kingdom bus area rather than at the Transportation and Ticket Center like other taxis or ride shares would.

Airport service will not be offered when Minnie Vans return as it had been in the past. Guests looking to travel to Walt Disney World from the Orlando International Airport should look into booking transportation with one of the replacements to Disney’s Magical Express instead.

Theme park reporter Scott Gustin noted that testing for Minnie Vans is set to begin next week, so if you are visiting Walt Disney World earlier this month, you may see Minnie Vans available in the Lyft app ahead of their official start date. He also noted that 75 Minnie Van drivers will be returning to once again work in this role at the Resort.
