Lace up your running shoes because registration is open for the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend virtual events, and we cannot wait to join!
Next year, runDisney is celebrating Disney Princesses whose stories help fans to raise, nurture, and believe in themselves, their families, and their friends. The 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will undoubtedly foster those goals for runners participating at the Walt Disney World Resort, but did you know you can participate in a race virtually, and still earn a finisher’s medal right from home?

Virtual races for the 2023 event include a 5K, 10K, and half marathon, allowing runners to complete each race at home on the course of their choosing, and according to their own schedule. (The Disney Princess Fairytale Challenge, which would award runners three medals for completing the 10K and half marathon was also available, but registration has already sold out.)
Per runDisney.com, runners who participate in one of the 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend virtual events will each receive:
- Finisher Medal
- Participant Shirt
- Digital Bib and Finisher Certificate
- Digital Race Tool Kit featuring printable mile markers
- Digital Expo & Event Guide
- Virtual Playlist
Medals have not yet been revealed for 2023’s virtual events, but so far we do know that the Disney Princess 5K is themed to Jasmine, the 10K to Belle, and the half marathon to Moana.

The 2023 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend is celebrating the 15th anniversary of this event at Walt Disney World. In addition to the half marathon road race, runners will also find ways to participate in a 5K and 10K all at “the Most Magical Place on Earth,” from February 23-26, 2023. This year’s supported charity is the Starlight Children’s Foundation which delivers happiness to seriously ill children and their families at over 800 children’s hospitals across the country.
