5. Perfect Lunch Spot
I generally find myself at Sci-Fi Dine-in Theater Restaurant for lunch for a couple of reasons. First, I think this is a great lunch spot for the price, but more on that later. While we highly recommend making advanced dining reservations, we have been lucky a couple of times to get a table over the lunch period at Sci-Fi usually within a 10-15 minute wait. This isn’t always the case, so you’ll definitely want to make reservations if at all possible!

4. Detailed Theming
The theme of this restaurant is one of my favorites at Hollywood Studios. One reason why I love the theme so much, is that like many people, I’ve never experienced an actual drive in theater. Not only is this the closest I’ll probably ever get to experiencing a real drive in theater, but it has the added convenience of being in one of my favorite theme parks. The restaurant is expertly designed, and from what I can tell, feels pretty authentic even with the fact that it does need to function as a restaurant and not a theater with real cars. The film clips are entertaining, and the dim lighting, and characters put on by the staff make the detailed theming of this restaurant a true stand out.
3. Food
The food at Sci-Fi is (in my opinion) the best option for that price range in Hollywood Studios. While 50’s Prime Time Café does count as a strong contender, I would rank the food at Sci-Fi a small step above. Don’t get me wrong, I love both restaurants, and 50’s might be the winner for me in the end in terms of theming, however Sci-Fi has a slight lead in the food category. The menu options at Sci-Fi are also a pretty good value for what is offered.
2. Value
Speaking of value, one of my regular picks at Sci-Fi is the burger. A burger at Sci-Fi is only a couple of dollars more expensive than a quick service burger. This means that if you were planning on going to the ABC Commissary for a cheeseburger, you might as well just spend the extra couple of dollars and enjoy the more unique experience at Sci-Fi. While not all menu items at Sci-Fi are the same price as the cheeseburger, most options are still a great value for what you’re getting.

1. Atmosphere
The atmosphere of Sci-Fi can’t be beat. From the second you step in from the walkway outside, you’re transported back in time to a classic drive in experience. Another great thing about the atmosphere here is the crowd and noise level in this restaurant (usually) is almost entirely a non-issue. If you’re worried that theme park restaurants are crowded, noisy, and not great for actually holding conversation, Sci-Fi can prove you wrong. Many guests are focused on the movie screen, and others are having conversations within their car. The seating area is so large that different parties are never really a bother to each other. All of this, combined with the detailed theming, adds to why the atmosphere of Sci-Fi is one of my favorites of any Walt Disney World restaurant.
