Stitch’s Great Escape typically only operates seasonally in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. We have confirmed that Stitch’s Great Escape will be open from December 23rd through January 6th, 2018, from 10AM to 6PM each day. The attraction is expected to be closed again on January 7th, 2019. During the holiday season, the Magic Kingdom often closes to capacity and the parks experience longer lines and wait times. Opening an additional attraction helps to alleviate the lines and provide more for guests to experience while in the park.

Stitch’s Great Escape officially became a seasonal-only attraction in October of 2016. We see the attraction open during the various busy times throughout the year. The attraction typically receives a lot of negative feedback from many of the Walt Disney World regulars and hasn’t been one of the “favorite” attractions within the park. Many guests have been looking forward to a possible conversion of the attraction to a brand new experience. There were rumors that Stitch’s Great Escape would be replaced with a Wreck-It-Ralph themed attraction in the future, but we haven’t heard anything additional about it over the last several months. We aren’t sure if this refurbishment is still under consideration or not.
