The Walt Disney World Resort has updated menus at several popular restaurants recently, with a focus on signature dining locations like Narcoossee’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and the Hollywood Brown Derby at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Now, the menu updates have turned toward one of the Resort’s fan-favorite quick-service restaurants, and we’ve got the scoop on which meal is finally back on the menu.

Flame Tree Barbecue

One of the most popular quick-service spots in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, right along the likes of Satu’li Canteen in Pandora – The World of Avatar and Yak & Yeti Local Foods Cafe in Asia, is Flame Tree Barbecue. Located in the center of the Park on Discovery Island, Flame Tree Barbecue is known for its St. Louis ribs, but this restaurant also serves up roasted chicken, pulled pork, and several delicious sides and beverages with some of the best views in the Park.

Missing from the menu, for years at this point, was the Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork sampler, but as of last week, it has finally returned! The sampler, as its name suggests, includes ribs, chicken, and pulled pork with two sides (coleslaw and baked beans) for $18.99

This entree is a great value simply because of how much food comes with the meal. With Flame Tree’s deliciously smokey BBQ eats piled high, plus the addition of two sides, this dish could easily feed two (or more) adults, making the cost per person $9 or less.

Tips for quick-service dining

Whether you plan to dine at Flame Tree Barbecue for the return of this mainstay item, or other locations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, be sure your phone is charged so you can mobile order. Mobile ordering is a great way to save time waiting in line, especially if you plan to grab lunch or dinner during the busiest times of the day.

For another tip, remember that water (from the soda machines) is complimentary at quick-service dining locations at Walt Disney World. As such, you may want to save the sodas for table-service restaurants (where you can have free refills) over quick-service restaurants.

You can view the full menu for Flame Tree Barbecue, and place an order, on the My Disney Experience app. Enjoy!
