For many guests, the first image that comes to mind when they hear “Walt Disney World” is the iconic Magic Kingdom. As the original theme park of the Walt Disney World Resort, it’s been a beacon of magic and adventure since its grand opening alongside Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and the famous Disney Monorail system.

If you’re visiting Magic Kingdom for the first time, you’ll likely want to explore every corner of the park. However, for those who visit frequently—Annual Passholders or seasoned guests—there’s always a desire to experience the park in a new way.

That’s where this fun and interactive game of “This or That: Magic Kingdom Edition” comes in. Ready to play?

How to Play: The Magic Kingdom Edition of This or That

In this version of This or That, we’ll guide you through a full day at Magic Kingdom, offering choices between two options at every step of your journey. From the moment you arrive at the park to the final firework-filled night, you’ll make decisions on attractions, dining, and everything in between. The only rule: you must pick one! No cheating by doing both.

To get the most out of this game, we recommend spending a full day at Magic Kingdom, arriving at the park opening and staying until the last firework lights up the sky. And to really up the challenge, consider playing without using a Lightning Lane—though if you’re a Disney Resort hotel guest, feel free to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry.

So, let’s jump in!

A grand castle stands against a blue sky, surrounded by white clouds. Colorful fireworks burst in the background. In front of the castle, costumed characters gather on the stage, with tall green trees visible on the sides.

Getting to Magic Kingdom

Your adventure begins as you make your way to Magic Kingdom. Depending on where you’re staying, you’ll have different transportation options. Here’s your first decision:

  • Traveling by car: Will you take the classic Disney Monorail or hop on the Ferry Boat from the Transportation and Ticket Center? Both offer scenic rides, but the wait times may vary. Pro tip: stick with your choice for both your arrival and departure for a full-circle experience.
  • Staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: You can either board the Monorail or take a relaxing Water Taxi to the park. Which will you choose?
  • Staying at Disney’s Contemporary Resort: Will you take the Monorail or enjoy a peaceful walk over to Magic Kingdom?

Starting Your Day in Magic Kingdom

Now that you’ve arrived, it’s time to kick off the magic! But how will you begin your day?

  • Meet Mickey & Minnie at Town Square Theatre, or take a nostalgic ride on the Main Street Vehicles to avoid the morning crowds as you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.?

Time for Coffee: Starbucks or Joffrey’s?

Nothing starts a Disney day quite like coffee! Will you queue up at Starbucks on Main Street, U.S.A., or grab your caffeine fix from one of the Joffrey’s stands around the park?

Two hands holding iced coffee cups with Disney Parks logos and playful Mickey Mouse silhouettes reflect the excitement of a sunny day. Could these refreshing delights be part of the elusive Disney Starbucks secret menu? Trees and a blurred green sign complete this magical moment.
