Nearly three months after opening at Disneyland Resort, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure broke down with guests on board. One Disney Park guest shared her experience being trapped on the Bayou Country attraction while “soaking wet.”

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure premiered at Disneyland Park on November 15, 2024. The Splash Mountain retheme followed its counterpart at Magic Kingdom Park, which opened in June of last year. The attraction follows Princess Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley), Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis), and Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos) as they gather animal musicians for a Louisana-style celebration.

Disneyland Resort‘s version of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure seemed to experience fewer technical issues than Walt Disney World Resort’s in its early days, though it also lost popularity more quickly. Magic Kingdom Park still requires guests to make a Virtual Queue or Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservation to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, while Disneyland Park dropped the requirement in December and opened a standby line.

Despite its smoother beginnings, Disneyland Resort’s Splash Mountain retheme isn’t without its struggles. TikTok user Shelby (@l8dyshe) recently shared this video of herself stuck on the end of the attraction for more than 20 minutes:

“First ride of the day.. I do have snacks in my bag though”

“We’ve been stuck for 20 minutes,” the Disney Park guest wrote. “Soaking wet. Send help.”

It’s unclear whether Disney cast members evacuated guests or restarted the ride. However, Shelby commented that her party received complimentary Lightning Lane Passes as compensation for their experience.

“We got stuck at the very end and got free passes,” @ddworm commented.

“Us too!” Shelby replied.

Disneyland Resort rarely releases the cause of attraction breakdowns. However, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure eventually reopened and has operated normally following this incident.

  1. Without a doubt….”SPLASH MOUNTAIN”!!!

  2. I love splash moutian . I dint like it being changed. But I’m old like things to stay the same

  3. Splash Mountain!!! Not even close!!!! I would be willing to bet that the folks who were “offended” by Splash Mountain never even saw ‘Song of the South’, or even care what it’s about!!!!!

    • I agree. Those that were offended need to leave and never come back.
The WOKE agenda of not being offended really is left handed. They want things their way no matter what.
STAY HOME! Let us that love the all of the we old Disney and also not the Gay Agenda/WOKE.

      • Splash and Space Mountain are my two favorite DL rides. That being said, those that constantly bitch about the WOKE mind virus need to stay home and stay away from the park. Disney can decide on their own what they want to do with the rides. If you don’t like it stay home and whine about it on FOX News and Newsmax and leave the park to those that actually want to enjoy it.

  4. Splash Mountain is my favorite
    Please bring it back.

  5. Bring back Splash Mountain!!!!!!

  6. Splash Mountain. I never got drenched on Splash Mountain and Tiana’s ticked m off due I how soaked I got. Theme wise I don’t really care. I suppose Splash Mountain but I just like log rides and getting a little wet but not what they did to this revision.

  7. Splash Mountain. The relaunched new theme is a hot mess of racist, anti white wokeness.

  8. Splash mountain. Tiana’s bayou adventure is lame at best. The least impressive ride.

  9. Splash Mountain got removed because Uncle Remus was both Black and a slave – absolutely no different than denying the Holocaust – Tiana’s Bayou has no foundation and the new ride is a joke
