Disneyland Park guests were disappointed this week when Tiana’s Bayou Adventure temporarily disappeared from the park’s lineup. Some Disney Park guests waited over two hours for the attraction before being turned away or evacuated mid-ride.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened at Disneyland Resort last November, following closely behind its counterpart at Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom Park, which opened in June 2024. The attraction replaced the controversial Splash Mountain theme with a fresh musical journey featuring characters from The Princess and the Frog (2009): Tiana (Anika Noni Rose), Mama Odie (Jenifer Lewis), Louis (Michael-Leon Wooley), and Naveen (Bruno Campos).
Disneyland Resort’s version of the log flume ride initially experienced fewer interruptions than its Central Florida sibling. However, dozens of guests were evacuated from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure earlier this week after the attraction stalled.
Reddit user u/impermanentaccount shared photos documenting their evacuation experience. They revealed that guests were stuck “semi-vertical for a while” before being escorted backstage by Disney cast members. The wait time before the shutdown was reportedly over two hours, frustrating many guests in line.

“We felt bad for the women behind us in the log, who had been waiting in line for two hours,” the Disney Park guest said. “But it was cool to get an unexpected sneak peek behind the scenes of the ride!”
Other Disneyland Park visitors shared their frustration in the comments. u/LDWfan wrote: “Waited two hours for Tiana’s and this shutdown happened just after we made it past the kitchen. The Lightning Lane was out of control yesterday and made the standby lane just brutal.”
While the exact cause of the breakdown remains unclear, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure eventually reopened and resumed regular operation. Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort rarely make public statements about minor attraction issues, and this incident was no exception.
