If there is any Disney Princess who deserves her own restaurant, it’s Tiana from Princess and the Frog (2009).
Tiana’s passion for cooking and hard work toward opening her restaurant in the hit Disney animated film, combined with the delicious flavors of New Orleans have made this idea a no-brainer for many Disney fans, and it is about to (finally!) become a reality.

Last year, Disney shared that a restaurant inspired by Princess and the Frog was in the works for the Disneyland Resort, and now we are excited to share that we have some new information on the location. And it sounds amazing!
The Disney Parks Blog just confirmed that the French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square will be reimagined into Tiana’s Palace, bringing a dining location inspired by Princess and the Frog to Disneyland later this year.

Tiana’s Palace is set to open on Orleans Street with the space reimagined to showcase details from the film and share memorable moments from Tiana’s life. The restaurant will offer quick-service dining, so characters from the film will not be present but Guests can rest assured that Tiana will continue to greet Guests elsewhere in New Orleans Square.
Menu details have not yet been confirmed but Tiana’s Palace will of course feature all of the delicious flavors of New Orleans and likely some of the items we see her cook in the film.

The restaurant follows the opening of several other Princess and the Frog experiences at Disneyland Park, including Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets which opened last year, the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which will replace Splash Mountain, opening in 2024.
To complete work on Tiana’s Palace, the French Market Restaurant and Mint Julep Bar will close on February 17, 2023. When Tiana’s Palace reopens though, the Mint Julep Bar will once again be available serving up the classic treat along with Mickey beignets.
We will continue to monitor updates on Tiana’s Palace, and will be back with more information as we have it here on Disney Tips.
