A TikTok video of a man delivering an unsolicited Christian sermon from a raised flowerbed at Magic Kingdom Park has ignited a heated online debate. Disney Parks fans are divided not just over whether he should face consequences, but over whether the reaction would look different if he practiced a different faith.

TikTok user @jonathan.perde posted the video over the weekend, capturing himself stepping up onto the edge of a raised flowerbed in the Cinderella Castle hub as thousands of Magic Kingdom Park guests moved through the area around him.

He introduced his message to the passing crowd before a Walt Disney World Resort security cast member arrived and began instructing him to step down:
“Hello, everybody. Hey, I want to let you guys know that this might be a Magic Kingdom, but this is only a temporary Magic Kingdom.”
The guest didn’t stop when security arrived.

“There is one kingdom that will be forever, and the way to get to that is by Jesus Christ,” he said. “He died on the cross for you so that you could be saved. God bless you, guys. Repent and believe in the gospel. Sin wants to destroy you, but Jesus has come to bring life.”
Eventually, he stepped off the flowerbed as directed. His parting words: “Let’s go. Praise God.”
The security cast member left after he came down, leaving it unclear whether he faced any further consequences from Walt Disney World Resort.
A Clear Rule Violation

Whatever one thinks of the message’s content, the behavior itself runs directly counter to Walt Disney World Resort’s official code of conduct, which explicitly prohibits “unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.”
Standing on park infrastructure to deliver an unsolicited address to a crowd of theme park guests fits that definition without much ambiguity.
Theme Park Fans Debate
The Disney Parks community responded swiftly, and the video amassed over 3,500 comments.

“Should be a lifetime ban honestly,” said @sparkle_swamp.
“As a pastor, I would be pissed!” @jamesallen321 replied. “Not the place or time.”
Not everyone agreed. Some commenters felt the reaction was disproportionate.

“Every where is the place to talk about JESUS,” @daisythehikingfrenchie echoed.
But @meagolasgreentea argued that people would respond differently if the man weren’t preaching a Christian sermon.

Walt Disney World Resort has not issued any statement about the incident or confirmed whether the guest was asked to leave the park.
