Every attraction in Walt Disney World features one moment that makes guests go “wow!” From dramatic reveals to sudden drops, these moments stand out in guests’ memories long after returning home from a Disney vacation. Some of the most memorable wow moments from attractions are so special due to their touching nature. From weddings to reunions, touching moments are some of what make Disney attractions so amazing. Here are the top ten touching moments on Walt Disney World attractions.

10. Ariel’s Wedding

Nestled in New Fantasyland, the newest addition to the Magic Kingdom, is Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid which takes guests through the classic tale of Ariel. While there are some amazing scenes throughout the attraction including a lively rendition of “Under the Sea” with Sebastian and friends, the most touching moment comes in the finale. After Ursula is defeated, guests are treated to Ariel and Prince Eric’s wedding scene featuring a sweeping score and fireworks conjured up by King Triton.

9. Beast’s Transformation

One of the most magical stage shows in Walt Disney World is Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage on Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Telling the story from the classic animated film, this show combines musical numbers with amazing acting making it a must see. One of the most touching moments of the performance happens after the battle between Gaston and the Beast where the Beast is wounded and Belle cries and declares her love. With a dramatic effect, the Beast transforms into Prince Adam for a lovely moment.

8. Peter’s Flight

Peter Pan’s Flight is one of the most beloved attractions in the Magic Kingdom and tends to accumulate some of the longest wait times as well. The most iconic scene from the attraction which tends to leave guests impressed comes after being doused with pixie dust and taking to the skies over London. Guests can look down and take in the sights of London including Big Ben for a scenic and touching moment straight from the fantasy of Peter Pan.

7. Small World’s Finale

It’s A Small World is one of the most well-known Disney attractions from its debut at the 1963 New York World’s Fair to present day. Featuring several larger than life rooms full of singing dolls each representing different countries and cultures, the attraction shares a wonderful message that we are all related in this small world. The most touching moment of It’s A Small World is the final room where all of the dolls from different countries come together decked out in white to form a united chorus of song.

6. A Presidential Reveal

The Hall of Presidents in the Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square is the only place in the world where guests can see all of the presidents of the United States in one place. The beginning of the show features an amazing individual speech by Abraham Lincoln, but the most touching moment comes in the grand reveal when the curtains sweep back and all of the presidents are shown standing in unison. While this is definitely one of the most patriotic moments in Walt Disney World, many guests also consider it to be one of the most touching.

5. Lion’s Love

The Festival of the Lion King in Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Africa is one of the most spectacular performances in Disney. Featuring a tremendously talented cast of performers, guests are encouraged to sing and clap along to many of the musical numbers from the beloved animated film The Lion King. One of the most beautiful performances in the show features two acrobats doing an aerial ballet set to “Can You Feel The Love Tonight.” With such beautiful music and dance, this moment is one of the most touching in Disney.

4. Savanna Reveal

Kilimanjaro Safaris is the flagship attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and takes guests into the Harambe Reservation for a ‘two week’ adventure full of close interactions with animals such as giraffes, lions, and hippos. The most impressive and touching moment of the journey comes when the safari vehicle turns a corner and the sweeping African Savanna is revealed in all of its glory. While the view is awe inspiring by itself, there are often giraffes and various other animals wandering serenely through making it stupendous.

3. Meeting Mickey

One moment guaranteed to be touching to even the grumpiest of guests is meeting Mickey Mouse. A hug from Mickey is the perfect Disney moment and no vacation is complete without it. One of the best places to meet Mickey is Town Square Theater on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom where guests can pose for pictures with Mickey in his magician outfit.

2. Happily Ever After

Happily Ever After Fireworks has replaced Wishes, but has thankfully lived up to the beautiful display of fireworks, lasers, projection, music, and storytelling Magic Kingdom is known for. With 18-minutes of “heart, heroism, and humor”, Happily Ever After will send you on your way with your own “happily ever after” ending to an unforgettable Magic Kingdom day!

1. Fantasmic’s Finale

Like its sister nighttime shows, this performance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the perfect end to a day in the park. The show features an epic battle in Mickey’s imagination where he faces off against evil and the likes of Maleficent in dragon form. The finale of the show features a magical and touching moment where Mickey succeeds and wins the battle as he suddenly moves from the top of the nearby mountain to front and center on the stage. With such an awesome moment concluding the show, guests are sure to remember it!
