Disneyland Resort guests visiting on February 28 may encounter an unexpected political gathering inside the parks. A Trump-supporting group has announced plans for a coordinated “takeover” on the same day as Mini Gay Days, prompting online warnings from Disney Parks fans.
Mini Gay Days Returns to Anaheim

For decades, Disneyland Resort has been a home to Gay Days Anaheim, one of the largest unofficial LGBTQIA+ gatherings in the country. Each year, the event draws thousands of guests dressed in red shirts to celebrate community pride. It grew so popular that the organization created a smaller companion event, Mini Gay Days, which takes place in late winter or early spring.
The organization’s website confirms that Mini Gay Days will return on February 28, 2026, with discounted hotel rooms and theme park tickets available to participants. However, the full event schedule is not yet available.
A Pro-Trump Event Planned for the Same Day

This year, Mini Gay Days may look a bit different. The group 805 Patriots is promoting a “MAGA Invasion” inside Disneyland Resort on February 28, the same day as the LGBTQIA+ Pride event. Their website advertises “Make Disney Great Again” shirts and encourages supporters to attend in large numbers to “stand for tradition and make your voice heard.”
A Reddit user, u/timmyboi, shared a flier linked to the planned gathering and cautioned others about the politically motivated event.

Disney Parks fans responded quickly. Some suggested sabotaging the event.
“Counterpoint: Book all the reservations so MAGA can’t get in,” said u/Realistic_Screen_917.
Others expressed frustration that Disneyland Resort might host a politically charged group during an event centered on inclusion.

“Uh I know you’re allowed to wear political clothes, but should a political movement really be allowed to organize an ‘invasion’ of MAGAs, the worst people to be around en masse,” said u/unwanted_peace.
Many commenters said they simply wanted a break from politics during their Disney Park visits.

“That is so lame,” u/Intelligent_Ad4495 wrote. “Disneyland is the place to escape and not think about things like politics.”
Disneyland Resort has not commented on either event or whether any operational changes will be implemented on February 28.
