Disney Debuts Three NEW Turkey Leg Flavors

Turkey legs are a rather divisive snack among Disney fans. For some, this smokey, savory meat is a must-have during every Disney vacation, but for others, the smell is enough to send them away (perhaps toward something more refreshing, like a DOLE Whip…)

These mammoth “snacks” are one of the most popular grab-and-go options at Disney Parks for a reason, though they are not for those on a calorie deficit as one leg comes is estimated to come in at just over 1,000 calories. (But calories don’t count on vacation, right?) At least we can rest assured that the legs are in fact, turkey and not emu.

While they are a favorite for many Guests, turkey legs have not undergone many changes since their initial debut in the 1980s, until recently. Last fall, one Disney Park finally debuted three new flavors of turkey legs, and in the months since they have continued to go viral with rave reviews from fans.

If you have a trip to Anaheim, CA, in the future, it looks like you will need to plan a stop at Edelweiss Snacks in Disneyland Park. This small snack kiosk is located right by one of the Park’s most beloved attractions, the Matterhorn Bobsleds.

The kiosk is serving up buffalo, barbecue, and smoked turkey legs, all for $12.99 plus tax. The buffalo turkey leg in particular, has really taken off with fans and is served with ranch dressing on the side (and plenty of napkins!).

The barbecue flavor is a nice option for those preferring a slightly sweet flavor over the heat of the buffalo turkey leg, and the smoked leg is similar to the original served across Disney Parks with a more noticeable flavor rather than the snack’s typical understated smokiness.

Edelweiss Snacks is available for mobile order in the Disneyland app, which we always recommend using when available for snack and quick service purchases around Disney Parks.

In addition to the new varieties of turkey legs, Edelweiss Snacks also serves up bratwurst and buttered corn on the cob, along with frozen beverages with flavors like blue raspberry, cherry, and apple. Stop by to try out the turkey legs or one of the other specialty snacks before (or better yet, after) your next ride on the Matterhorn Bobsleds, and enjoy!

If you are on the east coast, we are sorry to share that the new turkey leg flavors have not made their way over to Walt Disney World. They seem to be incredibly popular among Guests at Disneyland, though, so it is always possible that they will head east in the future.
