Turn These Disney Snacks Into Lunch

We love Disney World snacks, and we love them, even more, when they can become a meal. We have some Disney snacks that are big enough to be your lunch the next time you visit a Disney theme Park. Take a look at our suggestions, and then make your list of must-get treats.

  1.  Kitchen Sink

Found at Beaches and Cream over at Disney’s Beach Club, the kitchen sink is an iconic Disney snack. The kitchen sink now comes in three different versions: original kitchen sink, Neapolitan, and chocolate lovers. No matter which one you choose, you need to be ready to dig in. Not only does it include a variety of ice cream scoops, but it also includes EVERY, yes EVERY, topping in the house. This means not only your beloved sprinkles but also brownies, pound cake, Oreos, and don’t forget a whole can of whipped cream. This is a huge challenge but one that is super fun! At $35.00, it isn’t a cheap Disney snack, but it will fill everyone up quickly.

2.  Speciality Waffles

We love fresh waffles, and the specialty options from Sleepy Hollow in the Magic Kingdom are outstanding. You can choose between the fresh fruit waffle sandwich at breakfast for $8.29 or the sweet and spicy chicken waffle sandwich for lunch and supper at $10.29 (with chips). The fruit waffle is covered in Nutella and has fresh fruit, including strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. The chicken waffle has a honey-sriracha glaze with a broccoli slaw that is the perfect combination. These two are delicious and offer the perfect sweet or spicy option depending on our mood and what Disney snack you are looking for that day.

3.   Colossal Cinnamon Roll

Who doesn’t love a fresh and warm cinnamon roll to start their morning? In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can find the colossal cinnamon rollover at Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery. For $7.49, this is an excellent choice for a sharable breakfast. A combination of icing, syrup, and sweet cinnamon makes this large cinnamon roll worth the mess.

4.  Pork Egg Rolls and Chicken Fried Rice

If you are looking for a little more savory than a sweet snack, we recommend checking out Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes in Animal Kingdom. Here you can get two pork egg rolls for $6.99 or a pint of chicken fried rice for $5.99. These are outstanding options if you want to turn a savory snack into lunch. The fried rice portion is huge, making it shareable, especially for kids.

5.  Totchos

Head to Woody’s Lunch Box in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for some delicious totchos. These tots come with beef and bean chili, shredded cheese, queso, Fritos, sour cream, and green onions. It is a bowl of yummy that you won’t be disappointed in. The totchos are $9.99, but if you are looking for something slightly smaller, you can order a side of potato barrels for $3.49. Those with a side of tomato-basil soup for $3.99 sound like a cozy meal for those cooler months at Disney World.

6.  Jumbo Turkey Leg

Although this isn’t for everyone, it is absolutely a savory snack that can be a meal. The turkey leg, found in Magic Kingdom after 7 pm at Sleepy Hollow for $12.49, does have a smokey flavor and is big enough to share.

7.  Loaded Buffalo Chicken Tots

More savory options that are perfect for a light meal while in Magic Kingdom. At Friar’s Nook in Magic Kingdom, you can enjoy some tots full of chicken and buffalo, making it a meal any time of day. You can get these for around $10.99, and if you aren’t a buffalo fan, you can check out the creamy bacon macaroni and cheese tots as well. Either one will be fantastic!

8.  Baked Macaroni & Cheese

In Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you can get baked macaroni & cheese at Eight Spoon Cafe. These hot and tasty dishes can have pulled pork added to them for $6.79, making it a great choice for lunch.

9.  Funnel Cakes

You might not think that funnel cakes can be a meal, but the elaborate ones you find in Hollywood Studios at Epic Eat will prove you wrong. There are two flavors to choose from, and you can’t go wrong with either. One has strawberry topping and soft-serve vanilla ice cream, or if you are a chocolate fan, you can try the cookies n’ cream option. Both are $8.49 and large enough to share.

10.  Air Pirate’s Cargo Loaded Pretzel

If you find yourself hungry in Disney Springs, stop in at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. Here you can get the amazing air pirate cargo loaded pretzel for $22, and it is worth it. This isn’t just a normal Disney pretzel. This comes with Prosciutto, Sliced Brats, Artisan Pepperoni, Smoked Cheddar, Black Diamond Cheddar, Caraway Pickles, Spicy Mustard, and Beer Cheese Fondue along with a very large pretzel. You won’t be sorry if you choose this as your lunch.

These are just a few of the top snacks at Walt Disney World that you can turn into a meal. During your next Disney vacation, you will want to try some or all of these snacks. Make sure to space them out though, as they are filling. Which one are you excited to try out? About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
