VIDEO: Watch the Magic Kingdom Transform From Halloween to the Holidays

Spooky season is officially behind us and the holiday season is, well, already here at Walt Disney World!

Transforming Disney Parks and Resorts with festive decor for a new holiday season is no easy task, but it’s completed right on schedule each year thanks to a team of extremely talented and hardworking Cast Members.

While it will take some time for all of the holiday decorations around Walt Disney World to be completed, the Magic Kingdom has already begun its transformation for the “most magical time of the year,” and the official Disney Parks TikTok account shared a fun behind the scenes look at the changeover from Halloween to Christmas:

The Magic Kingdom still needs a few final touches, including its iconic Christmas tree near the entrance to Main Street, U.S.A., but Guests who visited the Disney Park today were still able to see a first look at the holiday decor coming together.

As for when we’ll see a completed holiday look at the Magic Kingdom, all of the decorations will be in place by November 8, 2022, for the start of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, which is returning for the first time since 2019. The one exception that Guests will sadly miss for another year in the Magic Kingdom is the Cinderella Castle Dreamlights display as the structure remains outfitted with 50th-anniversary decor until the end of the celebration in March 2023.

Elsewhere around the Walt Disney World Resort, gingerbread displays are already in the works (including the full-sized house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa) and we can’t wait to see the finished products!

If you are planning a trip to Disney World this holiday season, be sure to book your accommodations and theme park reservations as soon as possible. We are already seeing multiple Parks fill up on select dates in November and December, so we strongly recommend confirming theme park reservation availability on DisneyWorld.com before purchasing your tickets.
