The Walt Disney Company is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, and while the Disneyland Resort is set to be the center of the Disney100 festivities, there will be ways to get involved at other Disney Parks, locations across the country (and the world), and even from the comfort of home.
One highly anticipated component of the milestone anniversary is the Disney100 exhibition, which debuts this Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, PA. We recently shared the latest update on the exhibition, which will include not only hundreds of artifacts from the past 100 years of Disney but also an advanced hologram of Walt himself.

The exhibition is a must-do for any Disney fan for its presentation of rarely-seen artifacts; however, one new presentation during the event might be even more exciting. The AI-generated hologram of Walt Disney to be featured at the event has created quite the buzz on social media since the concept was announced, and now fans can enjoy a first look before the exhibition opens.
Theme park reporter Scott Gustin shared a short video of the hologram that Disney presented on Good Morning America this morning, February 15, 2023:
Here is a first look at the #Disney100 exhibition featuring Walt himself.

The hologram was created through extensive research with the Walt Disney Archives which used historic footage of Walt alongside multiple audio clips and AI tools to give the impression that he will actually be present at the exhibition.
Fans who attend the exhibition will see the hologram alongside 250 “Crown Jewels,” aka some of the rarest artifacts from the Walt Disney Archives, largely comprised of Disney memorabilia, original artwork, costumes, and items from the planning stages of films, attractions, and entire theme parks and Resorts.
The exhibition description from the Franklin Institute notes:
Ten magnificent and imaginatively themed galleries, all featuring moving stories, unique interactive installations, and exciting background information, will take visitors on a journey through 100 years of The Walt Disney Company, celebrating the classics from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Strange World, as well as the latest members of the Disney family—Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and National Geographic.
