Why We Love Disney World

As Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary began on October 1st, we want to take some time to reflect on why we love Walt Disney World so much. We realize that your friends, family, and co-workers might not always understand your love for Disney World or your desire to visit every year, but when we reflect on why we love Disney World it truly makes sense why we are drawn to a Disney vacation every year.

We Feel Safe

From the moment we arrive at our Resort to the moment we have to leave, Walt Disney World is a place we feel safe. This has become even more apparent in recent years as Disney has taken procedures to make sure their Guests and Cast Members are being protected for COVID. From putting in new non-touch bag checks at the theme Park to having temperature checks when the Disney Park first reopened, Disney, is a company that we feel confident in putting the safety of their workers and Guests safety first.

Cleanliness is Present

We appreciate that Disney World puts cleanliness at the forefront of their goals and company as well. We love how shiny and new the theme Park looks every morning because it feels like the first day every morning. At Magic Kingdom, there is nothing better than being the first group to walk down Main Street, U.S.A. and see the castle in the morning glory. At the Disney Resorts, we are grateful that they take extra steps to ensure cleanliness in between Guests and are constantly wiping down high touch surfaces throughout the Disney property. Knowing that these steps are being taken to keep the theme Park and Disney Resorts clean gives us peace of mind when we are visiting.

A Place For Families

One of the main reasons we love Disney World is because the whole family can enjoy it together. This was the vision and goal for Walt Disney when he first started dreaming up the theme Park. He wanted a place where parents could enjoy the joy along with their kids, not from the sidelines. This is exactly what Disney World is for us. Family members young and old can enjoy the magic of the four theme parks together, making Disney World a truly magical place for us.

We Can Be Kids

Along the same lines, we love Disney World because we can be kids again. We love that we can laugh, cry and scream right along with our kids as we experience the different attractions. It is nice to step away from the real world for a while and take time to be joyful and experience the magic. From watching the fireworks together at the Magic Kingdom to screaming alongside our family on Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom, we are so grateful that Disney World provides us a place where we can relive those joyful moments of being a kid.

Food Fun

Many might not think of food when they think of Walt Disney World, but this is one of the reasons we love to visit. We enjoy having the chance to enjoy a Mickey Bar in Magic Kingdom or eat breakfast with Mickey and friends in EPCOT. We also love to get those themed cupcakes or hit up a variety of food booths during the festival in EPCOT. Disney World is a great place to enjoy a variety of different food options all in one location.

Riding the Rides

It probably seems obvious, but we love Disney World because of the rides. From the classic attractions in Magic Kingdom such as Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, or It’s a Small World to new attractions such as Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We love all of the rides at Disney World. The themed and immersiveness of each ride truly transfers us to these new and magical lands.

Always Something New

Another reason Disney World has us coming back each year is that there is always something new. Each time we visit Disney World, there is something new to enjoy. From new rides in EPCOT such as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure or soon Guardians of the Galaxy: Comic Rewind to new food options such as Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort there is always something we want to try and experience.

Magic is Alive

The biggest reason we love Disney World is because of the magic it brings to us. Every time we visit Disney World, we feel the magic and are immersed in it. We love to see our favorite characters, favorite movies all come to life right before us. It is truly hard to put into words the magic that we feel when we are in Disney World, but it has us coming back each year.
