Elon Musk, the genius entrepreneur behind SpaceX and Tesla, is turning heads today due to a couple of cryptic tweets involving the Disney company. The wealthiest man in the world has been making news lately because of a deal he made to purchase Twitter.

According to giantfreakinrobot.com, the businessman was all set to purchase the social media platform for 44 billion dollars. The deal fell through due to Musk’s claims that Twitter has bot issues.

Fans are left wondering what the tycoon’s next venture will be. A mysterious response Musk made to a tweet on social media caused some people to wonder if he has plans to purchase Disney.

The tweet, posted by Slashdot, who specializes in writing “News for Nerds, Stuff that Matters,” explains that Mickey Mouse will be in the public domain in 2024 due to the end of Disney’s 95-year copyright! Elon Musk responded to the tweet with one simple yet interesting reply, “It’s time.”

This has led some to believe that the mogul may be hinting at plans to make a deal with Disney. Elon Musk is known to have dry humor and often makes jokes about his agenda prior to making a move.

No one knows for sure if Musk is joking or if he is indeed considering a monumental step in Disney’s direction. It wouldn’t be too much of a surprise, seeing that he did just try to purchase Twitter!

A separate tweet posted by Musk about the Disney company may give onlookers more insight into his intentions. A few years ago, Disney filmed a nature documentary about the mass suicide of lemmings.

New research has proven that lemmings are not shown to behave this way. Some have suggested that Disney may have staged the circumstances in the documentary in order to provide footage.

Musk addressed the incident in a strange tweet, simply stating, “The dark origin of the lemming mass suicide myth…” The tweet links to an article that details the dirty story about Disney.

With a track record for teasing companies like Twitter before purchasing them, some feel that Musk may indeed have plans to try and take over the Disney company. Of course, it could just be a joke; I guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
