Will We Ever See This Beloved Character Interaction Attraction Again?

As of 2022, Enchanted Tales with Belle (located in the New Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom) has been listed as “Temporarily Unavailable” for over two years, leaving Guests to wonder if they’ll ever be able to see this Disney experience again.

For those who can’t remember (because it’s been so long since we’ve experienced this unique character meet-and-greet encounter), Enchanted Tales with Belle is an interactive adventure where Guests get to be a part of the ‘Tale as Old as Time’ itself.

Guests get to walk through Belle and Maurice’s charming country cottage and his kooky invention workshop. Then, through some impressive Disney magic, Guests are then transported to Beast’s Castle with the use of the enchanted mirror.

Guests can then meet iconic characters such as the sassy Enchanted Wardrobe, Lumiere, and Princess Belle herself! The Enchanted Wardrobe and the Cast Member host work together to pick certain Guests to play the roles of other characters such as Mrs. Potts, Chip, the Beast himself, and more.

It’s fun for all ages, and it’s a wonderful way for Guests to get into the enchanted tale of Beauty and the Beast (1991). The trouble is, it’s been ‘Temporarily Unavailable’ for a few years now.

During the recent pandemic, we can see why an experience such as Enchanted Tales with Belle would be unavailable due to the attraction‘s close quarters and interactive nature.

But with vaccines now readily available and with other attractions opening in a post-pandemic Walt Disney World, fans can’t help but wonder why Enchanted Tales with Belle hasn’t joined the list.

One year ago, in October 2021, a “general construction” permit had been filed for the location of Enchanted Tales with Belle, which could have meant anything from minor decorative changes to more extensive Disney Imagineering. This gave fans of the attraction hope that they could experience and be a part of the enchanted ‘Tale as Old as Time’ again.

However, an entire year later, Enchanted Tales with Belle is still listed as ‘Temporarily Unavailable.’ Who knows if we will ever see this hybrid attraction again! Until then, Guests can stroll past the attraction sign and the adorable cottage and meet Princess Belle through other character meet-and-greet attractions.
