Guests Experience an Unusual Error on Journey Into Imagination With Figment

The Walt Disney World Resort operates four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, several recreational offerings, and more than 25 Resort hotels, most all year long.

With so much happening all over the Resort 365 days a year, mishaps are sure to occur (as much as we hope they wouldn’t) and attractions can occasionally experience some downtime as a result. One recent incident that Guests witnessed aboard a Disney attraction, came at EPCOT where Journey Into Imagination With Figment recently suffered from an error you may be familiar with from your own computer…

During a recent ride on Journey Into Imagination With Figment, Guests’ vehicles arrived at the “Sight” lab, where Dr. Nigel Channing, assisted by Figment himself share some insight into how this sense interacts with one’s imagination as part of the open house tour of the Imagination Institute.

Much of what is happening in this scene of the ride, save for some fun details around the room, takes place on a screen. Normally the screen displays an eye chart, with Figment showing up to add his own spin on this part of the tour. This was not the case for one recent spin on the attraction though, as TikTok user @walruscarp shared the following video (sound up for an extra laugh):

As unfortunate (but also a little bit hilarious) as this situation on Journey Into Imagination was, some replies in the comments were quick to note other screen-based attractions where a Windows OS error message is a possibility if something goes wrong, including for instance, Toy Story Mania at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Thankfully, this error message is not something we’ve seen in person here at Disney Tips, so it likely is not all that common on Disney attractions, but we did chuckle nonetheless.
