7. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror –

One of the most immersive attractions in Walt Disney World can be found ominously looming at the end of Sunset Boulevard. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is housed in the abandoned Hollywood Tower Hotel where guests quickly realize something went wrong many years ago. Soon guests learn that five individuals were traveling on the hotel’s elevator when they were struck by lightning and sent directly to The Twilight Zone. Guests are then invited to star in their very own episode of the television series as they board a service elevator and find themselves at the mercy of the tower!

6. Toy Story Mania

Guests who are fans of the Toy Story films should definitely not miss Toy Story Mania. The attraction shrinks guests down to the size of toys and brings them into a midway extravaganza where 3D games are being hosted by Woody, Buzz, and the gang. Guests then can compete in each game to see who can get the highest score. The attraction is so much fun and offers up a healthy dose of competition, making guests want to return time and time again. Since the attraction is so popular, it can easily have wait times exceeding two hours on busy days so guests who do want to visit should do so first thing in the morning or book a FastPass for the experience to avoid spending lots of time waiting in line.

5. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith –

Located right next door to The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror on Sunset Boulevard is The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. This thrilling attraction brings guests into G Force Records where the band is recording their next big hit. After being invited to a concert across town, guests soon find themselves in a back alley waiting to board super stretch limos to race across town. The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is one of the fastest attractions in Walt Disney World as it lunches guests into the neon lights of Downtown Los Angeles for a thrilling journey featuring several inversions. Guests who love thrills should definitely not miss this attraction in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Fantasmic! combines live acting, Disney characters and music, special effects, pyrotechnics, animation, dancing water, and a massive dragon to bring guests into Mickey’s imagination where a battle between good and evil is taking place. Lasting almost a half hour, the show is a wonderful experience for any guest and the perfect end to a day in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Since Fantasmic! is so popular, guests who want to enjoy the performance should be sure to line up at least an hour before show time to guarantee a seat inside the Hollywood Hills Amphitheater (or snag a FastPass!).

About Caitlin Kane

Caitlin Kane first started visiting Walt Disney World when she was two years old, and despite spending most of that trip quarantined with the chicken pox she managed to fall in love with the place. Visiting WDW every year since, she especially loves learning all about the history and small details of the parks and eating/drinking her way through the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival each fall. When she's not in Disney, Caitlin lives in New York and spends her time counting down the days to her next trip.
