Lovers of Tomorrowland and its futuristic vibe will adore Cosmic Ray’s for theming alone. However, this isn’t enough to capture the hearts of everyone. Therefore, we’ve compiled a list of the top 10 greatest things about this popular quick-service eatery in Magic Kingdom park.

1. Solid Options
From hot dogs and chicken nuggets for the picky eater(s) in your group to a delicious salad for those who prefer healthier fare, there is really something for everyone at this eatery. While we won’t give it points for originality, we do think there is something to be said for a good, solid, simple menu. After all, sometimes it can be nice to revert to the things we know and love.
2. Entertainment
Playing and singing a constant stream of stellar tunes, Sonny Eclipse—the alien animatronic—is a fabulous addition to this Tomorrowland food stop. He serenades diners with some seriously silly music, and is sure to put a smile on your face and may even keep the kids calm while you finish your food.
3. Coloring Sheets
Was Sonny not enough to keep the kids in their seats while you finish your fries? No worries! This location also frequently has coloring sheets available to entertain the little ones. Grab a sheet and some crayons and put the tiniest diners to work doing art while you enjoy your meal.

4. Great Prices
With meals starting at just over $9, Cosmic Ray’s is one of the most affordable places to eat in the Magic Kingdom. The low prices, coupled with the few shareable meals on the menu, make this a great place to dine if you’re on a budget but still want to enjoy park food.
5. Super Quick Service
This is a quick-service restaurant, so of course it’s going to be fast. However, we believe Cosmic Ray’s might just be one of the fastest options in Magic Kingdom. This is probably due to the fact that this place can get pretty busy during mealtimes, meaning the staff has tons of experience with keeping things running efficiently. Therefore, while the line can get pretty long at times, this is a great place to go if you’re in a hurry to eat before your next FastPass.
6. Great Toppings Bar
Cosmic Ray’s serves burgers, and in Disney World a place that serves burgers is probably going to have a toppings bar. However, we especially love the toppings bar at this particular location because it includes some pretty awesome options. For instance, mushrooms and jalapeños can be found on this bar right alongside the more traditional tomato and lettuce options.
7. Excellent Location
Cosmic Ray’s is located in Tomorrowland. That said, it’s really only barely in Tomorrowland and could almost be considered a part of the hub. This means this eatery is about as central as you can get when it comes to restaurants in Magic Kingdom, and in our book, that’s a real game changer. After all, if your party will be splitting up, having a central meeting place in mind for lunch is uber helpful. Cosmic Ray’s is definitely central while also appealing to all tastes.
8. Mobile Ordering
If the quick service mentioned above just isn’t quick enough for you, you can always use mobile ordering. Cosmic Ray’s is one of the select Disney World restaurants that now offers mobile ordering. This means you can order your meal in advance and come pick it up when you’re ready to go. For those who like to go, go, go, this could be hugely helpful in making sure no time is wasted.
9. Plenty of Seating
It’s always frustrating when you order food only to realize there’s no place to sit to eat it. Fortunately, that’s rarely a problem at Cosmic Ray’s. This place has enough seating to go around even on the busiest of days. That said, if you want to be seated near Sonny Eclipse, you will want to make sure to stake your claim before the lunch rush or you may be out of luck.
10. Restrooms Included
This one may seem silly, but for those of us who have to make frequent bathroom stops it is hugely helpful. At this particular dining location, restrooms are actually available in the restaurant. This is unusual for a Disney quick-service location, and something those with kids will really appreciate.
