Walt Disney World is the ultimate vacation destination for many guests thanks to its wide array of experiences that assure there is something for everyone to love. Guests who spend time at the massive location can enjoy four theme parks, two water parks, Disney Springs, and over twenty Disney Resorts that are all filled with attractions, entertainment, shopping, dining, recreation, and more. With so much to see and enjoy on each trip, it’s important for guests to prioritize which experiences are must dos for them and many guests tend to focus on the amazing attractions scattered throughout the theme parks. The attractions found in Walt Disney World range from classic to thrilling and are sure to amaze every guest. While there are countless attractions throughout the four parks, some of them are so amazing they definitely shouldn’t be skipped. From unforgettable classics to scream inducing thrills, some attractions have to be experienced on every Walt Disney World vacation! Here are twelve of the coolest attractions to try on your next visit to Walt Disney World.


1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train —

The Magic Kingdom is home to its very own mountain range including the newest addition which can be found in New Fantasyland. The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train brings guests into the world of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and invites them to board mine carts which individually sway back and forth throughout the experience. Guests then set off through the mountain’s tracks to the mines where the Dwarfs work collecting beautiful gems. Guests can enjoy the classic song “Heigh Ho” while taking in the amazing audio-animatronics and sweeping views of New Fantasyland.

2. Haunted Mansion —

One of the most beloved attractions in all of Walt Disney World can be found in the Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. The Haunted Mansion brings guests into an impressive manor home where nine hundred and ninety nine happy haunts reside. After boarding Doom Buggies, guests tour the home and encounter these spirits who cause all sorts of eerie and humorous occurrences. With many iconic moments including the beloved graveyard, guests absolutely must enjoy the Haunted Mansion on every Walt Disney World vacation.

3. Pirates of the Caribbean —

Another classic attraction found in the Magic Kingdom is Pirates of the Caribbean in Adventureland. Guests who enjoy a ride on the attraction set sail for adventure as they pass through eerie caves, a seaside battle, and a burning seaside village. While in the middle of the action, guests can spot Captain Jack Sparrow who is on the hunt for treasure as the pirates around him cause all sorts of mayhem. Guests who spend time in the Magic Kingdom have to enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean and sing along to “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me).”


4. Soarin’ Around the World —

The Land Pavilion in Epcot’s Future World is home to one of the most popular attractions in all of Walt Disney World. Soarin’ Around the World invites guests to take to the skies to enjoy an epic hang gliding adventure over some of the most beautiful locations on Earth. Guests can dangle their feet and enjoy the breeze while swooping over locations like the Great Wall of China, Monument Valley, the Taj Mahal, Mount Kilimanjaro, and even Epcot.

5. Frozen Ever After —

World Showcase in Epcot is home to eleven different pavilions that celebrate countries from around the world. The Norway Pavilion is home to an attraction that brings the immensely popular film Frozen to life. Frozen Ever After brings guests into the kingdom of Arendelle where Elsa is hosting a celebration. Guests can check out their favorite characters including Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven, and feel as though they have truly traveled to Arendelle.

6. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet —

Another very popular attraction in Epcot can be found in Future World East. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet brings guests into the design studio where they have the opportunity to create their very own SIM cars which they can then test on the track. Guests can consider Power, Responsiveness, Capability, and Efficiency, and see how their designs compare to those of other guests. Test Track Presented by Chevrolet concludes with a thrilling high speed loop around an outdoor portion of track that guests absolutely love!

7. Slinky Dog Dash —

Who’s up for a ride on the new Slinky Dog Dash at Hollywood Studios? Toy Story Land has crowds flocking to it for all the right reasons. This fun, new land makes guests feel as if they’ve shrunk down to the size of toy and are exploring Andy’s backyard with his beloved toys. Slinky Dog has joined in the fun with smooth dips and turns on his roller coaster! This is a great family-friendly coaster that is sure to be a favorite after just one ride. Have a blast with the breeze in your hair… just don’t forget to look around at all the awesome sights you’ll see across Andy’s toy-filled backyard. 8. Toy Story Mania —

Not new to Hollywood Studios, but joining in the new Toy Story Land, is Toy Story Mania. This attractions brings guests into the wonderful world of Toy Story. Toy Story Mania magically shrinks guests down to the size of toys and invites them to compete in a series of 3D midway games hosted by the Toy Story gang. Each game features its own theme and different targets, and guests love to compete to see who can achieve the highest score!

9. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror —

Sunset Boulevard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios is home to one of the most thrilling and eerie attractions in all of Walt Disney World. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror brings guests into the Hollywood Tower Hotel where five guests disappeared into The Twilight Zone many years ago after their elevator was struck by lightning. Guests soon find themselves on board a service elevator and in for the same fate as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror features a randomized drop sequence sure to leave guests thrilled every time!

10. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run —

Take a ride on the “fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy”! Star Wars fan or not, riding in the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon is an experience not to be missed. This interactive attraction is located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios’ newest land, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. With roles including pilot, gunner, and engineer – everyone must work together to reach their destination despite a few hiccups along the way.

11. Kilimanjaro Safaris —

Disney’s Animal Kingdom brings guests directly into the beauty of nature and is home to many attractions that offer amazing experiences. One of the most popular attractions in the park is Kilimanjaro Safaris which invites guests to embark on a two week long safari in the Harambe Reserve. There guests can experience up close encounters with animals like elephants, lions, cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, rhinos, and more. Since the animals are free roaming, each experience on Kilimanjaro Safaris is sure to be completely unique!

12. Avatar Flight of Passage —

The newest area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Pandora which brings the universe of Avatar to life. The area is home to two attractions, one of which is immensely popular with guests. Avatar Flight of Passage genetically links guests to an Avatar allowing them the chance to experience firsthand the thrill of riding through Pandora on the back of a banshee. Guests can soar through the gorgeous environments and experience big thrills on this unforgettable experience!
