Awesome Features Of Walt Disney World’s Memory Maker

The Memory Maker is one of my favorite add-ons to any Disney Vacation. One could definitely argue that with so many different cameras and smartphones at our fingertips, that you wouldn’t need to purchase photos when you can take them yourself. You definitely CAN take photos yourself, but to get everyone in the photos, you have to stop someone or ask a cast member to do it. You also don’t get all of these amazing features. Here are some awesome features of Disney’s Memory Maker and why you will love it:

4. Ride photos (and video)

With Memory Maker you get unlimited amounts of ride photos! This saves you almost $10 per photo! Now you can ride your favorite rides over and over again and keep the photo every time. Maybe you want one where you looks scared, another where you look excited and another where you act like your favorite Disney character. You can do all of them and they will all be included for no extra cost. A couple of the rides have now started adding video that you also get on your Memory Maker! Not only that, but the videos and photos are automatically added to your account. You don’t have to request them or do anything! You will find them all within your account already! The way the ride photos work is definitely one of my favorite perks! The rides that have pictures during them are:
Space Mountain (Magic Kingdom)
Splash Mountain (Magic Kingdom)
Pirates of the Caribbean (Magic Kingdom)
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (Magic Kingdom) – Also a video location!
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin (Magic Kingdom)
Slinky Dog Dash (Hollywood Studios)
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (Hollywood Studios) – Also a video location!
Rock ‘n Roller Coaster (Hollywood Studios)
Test Track (Epcot)
Frozen Ever After (Epcot)
Expedition Everest (Animal Kingdom)
Dinosaur (Animal Kingdom)

3. Character dining photos

We all love character dining, right? Well when we have Memory Maker, we love it even more! The pictures taken at character dining are also completely included in Memory Maker! This means that you don’t have to buy the printed photo package if you don’t want to and print your own photos since the photos are included with your Memory Maker for no extra charge! The character dining locations that have PhotoPass pictures available:
Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
Printed photos included in meal price.
Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (Epcot)
Printed photos included in meal price.
Tusker House (Disney’s Animal Kingdom)
1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian Resort)
Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary Resort)
Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Polynesian Village Resort)
‘Ohana (Polynesian Village Resort)
The Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (Fort Wilderness Resort)

2. Unlimited enhancements and features

There are lot of magical extras that you can add to photos. You can add characters and extra pixie dust to your photos. You can save unlimited versions of the photos so that you have the originals and variations of the photos with your magical enhancements. You also get access to hundreds of beautiful stock photos that you can also have printed and/or download to use in your scrapbooking and other projects. These are definitely a fun extra and help add to the amount of amazing pictures that you have to commemorate your vacation.

1. Everyone in your party can use it

You only have to buy one Memory Maker for your whole party! The Memory Maker is added to your Magic Band and shows as being linked to one person in My Disney Experience. It is actually in use by all Magic Bands that are associated with your trip, so even if your party splits up and does different things, the Memory Maker is still working to collect ride photos and/or you can stop and take photos in front of the amazing landmarks and you will still get it all! It is great to know that you can get the most value out of the service and only have to purchase it once for your whole party, for your entire stay!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
