Liberty Tree Tavern is one of my favorite restaurants to visit around the holidays. I am a huge fan of traditional turkey dinners and this one is the best one on Disney property. There are so many reasons why Liberty Tree Tavern is a great place to have a meal, and here are 6 things will love about Liberty Tree Tavern:

6. The location

This restaurant is located right in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom is the most popular park in all of Disney property, so the restaurants are definitely a hot commodity to obtain reservations for. It is easier and saves time when you are able to have a delicious meal from right within the park and don’t have to spend time traveling to another location and then traveling back in order to be there for the fireworks and other happenings in the park. This location is also one that isn’t a very long walk from Main Street and is easily accessible from Adventureland, Frontierland and Fantasyland, so you are fairly close to many attractions depending on where your next FastPass+ options are.

5. All you care to enjoy

Dinner at this location is all you care to enjoy and served family style. I always like this even more than a traditional buffet. You have a perfectly themed meal and menu brought right to your table and you can request more and as much of anything that you want without having to leave the comfort of your table. You get to enjoy a delicious meal and not deal with the various issues that typically turn people off from buffets. Plus, with how delicious the food is, you are very likely to want more of everything!

4. Revolutionary period atmosphere

This location is themed and designed after the Revolutionary era. The multiple dining rooms are each themed after the important individuals and personalities from this era. The cast members announce where you are visiting from when they go to seat you, which is also a unique experience that no other restaurant on property does. The restaurant is stunning and feels like you are dining right in an impressive house from this era.

3. The perfect holiday atmosphere

The nature of the warm, inviting and historic atmosphere, along with the menu offerings allow the restaurant to create the perfect holiday dining experience. This is a highly sought after restaurant for the Thanksgiving and Christmas because of it. If you are interested in the perfect colonial holiday, then you will want to snag your reservations as early as possible since they will go extremely fast.

2. Delicious food

The food is AMAZING. I have always been a fan of the traditional turkey and fixins’ type of meal, and this one is extremely delicious. You get the turkey, ham, stuffing, potatoes, roles, cranberries, veggies and a delicious Johnny Appleseed tart for dessert. You get as much as you want, so don’t hesitate to ask for more and enjoy all of the delicious flavors. They can also tailor the meal to meet any dietary needs and food allergies that your group may have, so don’t forget to mention those to your server.

1. Completely different lunch menu

You have already heard about the delicious dinner offerings at Liberty Tree Tavern, but the lunch menu is a totally different experience! The lunch menu is a delicious combination of favorites like cheeseburgers, pot roast, BLTs, pasta, fish and chips, etc. You get the same great atmosphere with a wide variety of menu selections for a very reasonable price. It is nice that they change up the menu for the different meal services so that you get the opportunity to have two different dining experiences in one.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
