Everyone knows that Walt Disney World is a great place to take kids, but it also has plenty of options for adult fun!  If you’re looking for night-life, there are dozens of bars to choose from at Disney Springs, the resorts, and the parks.  These are our top picks for lounges with entertainment, where you’ll be wowed by Disney’s talented entertainers in a fun after-hours environment.

1. Jellyrolls

This dueling pianos bar at Disney’s Boardwalk gets the top spot on this list because it is my personal favorite!  Expect to pay a cover, but it’s worth it because once you’re in you won’t want to leave.  The talented pianists take requests for your favorite sing-a-long numbers and keep the crowd singing all night long.  You’ll likely hear a lot of old radio favorites, and there are usually a Disney song or two sprinkled in so you don’t forget where you are.

2. The Edison

One of the newer night life options at Disney Springs, the Edison opened in 2018 as a restaurant-by-day, club-by-night.  Don’t let the prohibition-era theming fool you – there are plenty of drinks flowing at multiple bars and lounges throughout the sprawling building.  At 10pm the lower level transforms from restaurant to club with a big dance floor, live music or djs, and cabaret dancers.  You’re also likely to be dazzled by some more unique entertainment acts – stilt walkers or a flying ballerina to name a few.  The Edison has entertainment every night of the week, but head there on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday to experience the best they have to offer.  Make sure to check the dress code, as “venue appropriate” attire is required after 10.

3. Raglan Road

One of the great things about Disney World being so big is that there really is something for everyone!  So if you’re not into the rowdy sing-along scene at Jellyrolls or the late night scene at the Edison, there are still plenty of options for you.  A very different option can be found in Raglan Road at Disney Springs.  Another location that doubles as a restaurant and lounge, Raglan Road offers authentic Irish entertainment day and night.   If you go for a meal during the day or evening, you’ll be wowed by Irish musicians and dancers.  And for the after-dinner crowd there are live Irish bands playing until 1:00am most nights.

4. Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto

This tiny nook on the bottom floor of the Polynesian Resort offers creative cocktails and its own special version of experiential entertainment.   The size makes it hard to get in – head there early (maybe before dinner at Kona Café) or put your name on the list and grab a drink upstairs at the bar outside Ohana while you wait.  I can’t tell you any more about the entertainment without taking away from the experience, but be prepared to have a great time!

5. STK

If you’re finding yourself a little tired of Disney and wishing you were in a big city instead, head over to STK at Disney Springs.  This upscale steakhouse features rooftop dining, serves dinner late, and has a more upscale feel than many Disney restaurants.  On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights you’ll find a DJ spinning current top-40 and favorites from the past.

6. Tune-in Lounge

For a more laid-back and wholesome “entertainment”, check out the Tune-in Lounge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  Adjacent to the 50’s Prime Time Café, the lounge offers food and drinks while black and white tv shows from a by-gone era play on the televisions.

7. House of Blues

You may be familiar with the House of Blues concert venue at Disney Springs, where you can catch national acts most weeks.  Next door you’ll find a more laid-back atmosphere, with some great lesser-known bands, at the House of Blues restaurant.  With a daily and late-night happy hour, and live music most nights in the restaurant and on the “front porch,” this is a great place to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy some really talented musicians.

8. Scat Cat Club

Transport yourself to a New Orleans lounge by heading over the Scat Cat Club at Port Orleans French Quarter Resort.  You can find live jazz here most weeks on Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday nights.  Grab an order of beignets from the food court to complete you New Orleans-Disney experience.

About Katie D

I grew up in New Jersey in a family where the word “vacation” was synonymous with “Disney World.” After a few years of visiting regularly, my family became Disney Vacation Club members which meant we visited even more! Going to Disney always felt kind of like going home, and some of my best childhood and teenage memories occurred there. Now that I live in Jacksonville, FL I am excited to be a short drive from this magical place and look forward to making new memories for years to come.
