8 Things You’ll Love About Tony’s Town Square Restaurant At Walt Disney World

8. Location

Tony’s Town Square is located right on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom, in one of the first buildings guests come across when they enter the park. This location is not only picturesque and memorable but it also makes Tony’s an easy stop for guests heading into our out of the park, or who are looking for a “quick” table service meal before hopping on the resort monorail or to a different park. Even if you are stopping at the Magic Kingdom only for dinner, this restaurants location at the front of the park makes it easy to run in and out before and after your meal.

7. Theme

This restaurant immerses guests not only into the Victorian atmosphere of Main Street, but also into the story of Lady and the Tramp. Since the restaurant is based on one of the most memorable scenes in this classic Disney film, you’ll find nods to Lady and the Tramp all over the restaurant. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is really the only representation outside of occasional merchandise that you’ll find from the film in the parks, so if you really consider yourself a fan this restaurant should be a must-do on your next trip to Disney.

6. Menu

Though it’s billed as an Italian restaurant, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is really more Italian-American like many chain restaurants you would find all over the country. This may be disappointing if you were hoping for something more comparable to Epcot’s Via Napoli or Tutto Italia, but if you give it a chance the food can actually be just as good albeit different.

5. Family-friendly

The plus side of the more Americanized menu over at Tony’s compared to other Italian restaurants around Walt Disney World is that the options are easier to please guests of all tastes. If you have some picky eaters in the family, Tony’s Town Square offers a nice way to break from the usual burgers and hot dogs while still accommodating fairly standard entrees for guests who are more selective.

4. Main Street Views

While it cannot be guaranteed, sometimes when dining at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant you can luck out with a table outside on the patio. If this happens, you’ll have some sweet views of Main Street right from your table! You may spot a character or two and have a chance to relax and people watch while dining. If you’re looking to add a little extra entertainment to your lunch it doesn’t hurt to ask a cast member if an outdoor table is available.

3. Atmosphere

Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is on the much more casual and family-friendly side of Disney’s table service dining, especially for a restaurant that is not character dining. If you’re looking for a non-character dining experience that still comes with a casual and fun atmosphere where the kids can be kids without feeling like you’re impeding other guests.

2. Walk-in ability

If you hate planning out dining reservations in advance, Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is for you! While there is certainly nothing wrong with Tony’s, it simply isn’t one of the most popular table service restaurants in the park. This is good news for guests who aren’t fans of advance planning however because you can usually walk up to the restaurant and find a table available without a reservation. Of course this really depends on the size of your party and the time of year, but if you find yourself looking for a last minute table service spot it never hurts to ask!

1. Value

It’s no secret that dining in Walt Disney World is on the expensive side, but thankfully Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is pretty reasonably priced—especially when compared to other table service restaurants in the park like Be Our Guest and Cinderella’s Royal Table. Entrees are Tony’s Town Square can be shareable if you’re on a tight budget or do not have large appetites, and pasta and salad dishes won’t have you breaking the bank. Sometimes you just want to sit down and relax for lunch or dinner without overspending, and Tony’s is a great option if this turns out to be the case.
