Parades and live entertainment were sorely missed when Disney’s theme parks reopened after the pandemic.

Disney Guests yearned for the return of shows like The Festival of the Lion King, Fantasmic!, and Beauty and the Beast, with fans missing the collective joy of being awe-inspired by live performance and singing along to our favorite Disney classics.

Now, Disney has revealed that Walt Disney World in Florida will finally be seeing some new and returning entertainment offerings, including a brand new character cavalcade and Cinderella Castle show!

Kicking off on February 11 this year will be the brand-new “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade!”.

We are so excited to see some new characters make their appearance along the parade route, including nearly 30 Disney and Pixar friends! This super-sized cavalcade will see Guests jamming along with Moana, Merida, The Incredibles, Baloo and King Louie from The Jungle Book (1967), José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros (1944), and Nick and Judy from Zootopia (2016).

And in some amazing extra news, making his Magic Kingdom debut in “Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade!” will be Miguel from Pixar’s Coco (2017)!  Guests can already see Miguel in Magic Kingdom a new scene featuring the song “Un Poco Loco” in Mickey’s PhilharMagic.

And we don’t just have one new show to look forward to at Magic Kingdom. “Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire” will also make its debut on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage on February 25, 2022! Disney Park Blog explains the details of this new entertainment show:

The show, newly enhanced for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, will incorporate favorite scenes inspired by “Frozen,” “Tangled,” and “The Princess and the Frog” – plus a new opening and a new finale with Mickey Mouse and all his friends in their sparkling, EARidescent fashions.

Presented multiple times a day, the show will also include an all-new, original song entitled “Where the Magic Feels Like Home.”

We cannot wait to hear this new original song, as most soundtracks at Walt Disney World make us tear up. Songs from Disney’s nighttime spectaculars like Happily Ever After, Wishes, and Disney Enchantment, as well as EPCOT’S Harmonious, have often left us needing a tissue.

These new experiences will augment the magic that is returning in the form of Disney’s beloved Festival of Fantasy Parade, which will be sparkling down Main Street, U.S.A. again in Magic Kingdom beginning March 9, 2022.

Look out for future updates about the returns of fan-favorite shows “Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Fantasmic! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, due to be opening later this year.
