Although we mainly cover things that have to do with Walt Disney World, we like to give information about the other theme parks in the Central Florida area. SeaWorld Orlando is a must do destination spot for many who visit the Sunshine State.

Tourists and locals alike love seeing all of the different animal shows and riding some of the most exciting roller coasters. SeaWorld has been talked about quite a bit lately because there was a bid for SeaWorld company to buy Cedar Fair.

Cedar Fair owns over a dozen theme parks all over the country, including Cedar Point, Kings Dominion, and Kings Island, just to name a few.

SeaWorld made a bid of 3.4 billion to buy the Ohio based company but this offer was rejected.
In a statement from SeaWorld, “We confirm that our offer to acquire Cedar Fair was rejected. Unfortunately, we do not see a path to a transaction.”
It appears that there has been no counteroffer given at this time, but we will let you know if that changes.
This is not the first time Cedar Fair has received an offer over the last few years. It is reported that in 2019 the company also rejected an offer from Six Flags.
The SeaWorld company owns many theme parks all around the country as well. Just in Florida, they own SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Discovery Cove, Aquatica Orlando, and Adventure Island. They own SeaWorld San Diego, SeaWorld San Antonio, and Aquatica San Antonio in Texas. In Virginia, they own Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Water Country USA. In California, they own SeaWorld San Diego and Sesame Place San Diego. And last but not least, in Pennsylvania, there is Sesame Place Philadelphia.

Although SeaWorld is a topic of controversy for some, they have done a lot of good for animals in need.
