We’ve got new details on this year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, including some of the newest eats, sweets, and treats that we cannot wait to try at this year’s event!
The 2022 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is longer than ever before kicking off on July 14, 2022, and running through November 19, 2022, ending just ahead of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. This favorite annual event is a foodie’s paradise, and this year’s menus look incredible.
Here are some of the newest items to debut at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival that you simply must try:
IMPOSSIBLE Meatball from Earth Eats
The Earth Eats booth has become a favorite stop for plant-based foodies at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival with their IMPOSSIBLE burgers wowing Guests year after year. While the booth’s classic slider is returning for 2022, Earth Eats is also debuting a new IMPOSSIBLE Meatball served with herbed polenta, rustic puttanesca sauce, and basil pesto.
SPAM Musubi Nigiri from Hawaii
Sushi is one menu item that works perfectly for a small bite sort of setting like EPCOT’s festivals, but aside from a couple of annual staples, we do not see much of it at these events. This year, the Hawaii booth is changing that with this unique way to add SPAM to a dish. This Nigiri with sushi rice, comes with teriyaki-glazed SPAM, spicy mayonnaise, eel sauce, and nori, and it looks delicious.
Lamb Gyro from Greece
It has been a number of years since a gyro was featured at the Greece outdoor kitchen at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, so we are excited to see a new version of the classic dish on the menu for this year. This Lamb Gyro is served with with shaved lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and tzatziki on a warm flatbread.
Chicken Tikka Masala from India
Another noticeable omission from past festivals has been a Chicken Tikka Masala dish, so Disney has fixed that this year by offering it at the India Booth. This Chicken Tikka Masala features fennel-spiced yogurt and naan bread. (As an aside, we’ve enjoyed both of the Sula wines served at this booth in the past- If you are of age, you may want to give them a try!)
Fly Flight from the Fry Basket
This booth had us at “fry flight” but every one of these unique takes on the classic french fry look especially tasty! The flight includes Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar Fries, Barbecued Bacon Fries with smoked aïoli, and Sweet Potato Casserole Fries with candied pecans, toasted marshmallow cream, and caramel whisky.
Rocky Road Chocolate Cake from Flavors from Fire
Don’t worry, we didn’t forget about dessert! Flavors from Fire is bringing the heat to its dessert lineup this year with this indulgent Rocky Road chocolate cake made with marshmallows, spiced almonds, and chocolate ganache.
Honorable Mentions:
Hops and Barley at the American Adventure Pavilion has a pumpkin ale by Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. on the menu this year for Guests ages 21 and over. While this year’s event does start in the summer, we are loving this option for a little taste of fall during your visit.
Germany is serving up another new beer option as well with the Schöfferhofer Pineapple Hefeweizen. This is the same company as EPCOT’s famed grapefruit beer, so if you enjoy that and you like pineapple, you should like this one, too.
This year’s & features plenty of favorite annual events including the Eat to the Series at the (and the Eat to the ), the family-friendly Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt, special photo ops, merchandise, and more.
With at least one located in each area of the , including , World Celebration, World Nature, and World Discovery, and new booths debuting at the as the festival goes on, there will be a lot of tasting to do.
