We Finally Know When This Polynesian Resort Eatery Is Reopening (With A New Look)

Visiting Walt Disney World is always better when staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Not only do you get transportation to and from the parks and extra magical Disney experiences, but you get to eat Disney food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll find the Kona Cafe, which serves food for all three meals.

Fans of Kona Cafe will remember the tasty Tonga Toast, Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes, and of course, the iconic onstage sushi kitchen. Much to our relief, Disney Eats has just revealed that these Kona Cafe staples aren’t going anywhere.

The Kona Cafe is a casual dining option at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. The atmosphere is relaxing, warm, and tropical, so Guests can let all their worries melt away while indulging in traditional American food with Asian twists and inspirations. It’s no wonder why Disney fans and foodies were waiting with bated breath for this cafe to reopen!

Beginning on November 1, fans of Kona Cafe can finally get their Tonga Toast again. According to Disney Eats, the “look, feel, and even some flavors of this relaxed café will be different, yet familiar” once the fan-favorite restaurant reopens.

Not only are breakfast favorites like the Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes and banana-stuffed Tonga Toast returning, but dinner fan favorites have also secured a place on the menu.

Fans of hearty dinner dishes don’t need to worry because Disney has confirmed that the Seafood Pu Pu Platter and the Big Kahuna Burger aren’t going anywhere.

There’s even a new plant-based addition to the menu, the Sautéed Red Quinoa.

Kona Island Coffee & Sushi and Kona Cafe signs showcase Disney World appetizer menus, inviting guests to dine in style.
