From rides like the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and more, Magic Kingdom is home to many classic attractions that have been around since its opening day.

One of those attractions, the Walt Disney World Railroad, has been missing for years. The attraction initially closed in 2018 so that construction on the upcoming thrill ride, TRON Lightcycle Run, could begin.

Four years later, TRON Lightcycle Run is scheduled to open in Spring 2023, and the Walt Disney World Railroad is still listed as “Temporarily Unavailable” on the official Walt Disney World Resort website.

However, fans are quick to pick up on the latest Disney news and form speculations. The recent activity surrounding the classic Magic Kingdom attraction has resulted in more rumors than ever.

For one, Guests have noticed the iconic ride being tested for a few weeks.

But recently, unconfirmed reports have claimed that the Walt Disney World Railroad has been spotted testing all around Magic Kingdom with Cast Members onboard. Not only that, but these same reports also claim that training for train station attendant Cast Members has begun.

While these rumors have led to fans speculating that the classic attraction could return by Christmas, we must note that fans pointed out the same sightings earlier this summer, and the attraction has not opened since then.
