Happy haunts and season thrills are here! Happy October to those ready to celebrate the spooky season all month long. Disney is celebrating in a few ways, both at the Parks and in the comfort of your own home. Disney World throws Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom while Disneyland celebrates with Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.
If you weren’t lucky enough to snag tickets to either event in time, Disney still has you covered. Nothing says the autumn season quite like Mickey-shaped pumpkins and Disney Halloween characters. And no, you don’t just have to visit the Parks to experience both! shopDisney is featuring all of your favorite spooky characters from classic Disney Halloween films in all kinds of ways. Fans can decorate their homes or themselves with Halloween-inspired accessories, like Loungefly backpacks, Mickey-shaped pumpkins, and festive mugs.
But one of the best ways to get into the Halloween spirit is by re-watching the classics that reappear each October. This year, Disney is adding a new series to the list of Halloween-inspired features to add to your list of things to watch this month.
Celebrate Halloween with Disney Entertainment
Disney Springs is celebrating in all new ways, if you plan to be in the Orlando area. A moving jack-o-lantern with a live DJ, a Goosebumps (2023) backdrop and Zombeats Drummers keeping the festives alive. For those planning to visit, you won’t even need to attend a Park or Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party to get in on some unique, limited-time fun at Disney.
But if you’re comfortable celebrating the holiday from your couch, Disney+, Hulu and Freeform have you covered! Goosebumps will premier on October 13, on both Disney+ and Hulu. “The series follows a group of five high schoolers as they embark on a shadowy and twisted journey to investigate the tragic passing three decades earlier of a teen named Harold Biddle – while also unearthing dark secrets from their parents’ past,” Disney writes.
Though there is nothing more exciting than a star studded Halloween series like Goosebumps, while features Justin Long and Zach Morris, neither are the classics. The 25th anniversary of 31 Nights of Halloween has returned to Freeform airing the entire month of October. While many of these films are also avaialble on Disney+ to stream, there is something extra special about tuning into the television station nightly for a scheduled premiere.

“There’s something sentimental about these holiday classics that brings a real sense of comfort and nostalgia to people, and we look forward to celebrating this anniversary with another spirited lineup,” Freeform details. And we couldn’t disagree! Some of the classics include The Haunted Mansion (2003), Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), Hocus Pocus (1993) and Halloweentown (1998).
The nightly showings gives fans an exclusive feel into the Halloween classics all while reconnecting with the beloved films. As Freeform says, “So, grab your broomsticks, sweep your schedules, light your black-flame candle, and gather around the couch for a month’s worth of opportunity to binge all of these devilishly delightful films.”
