Walt Disney World and the Walt Disney Company frequently release new Loungefly Mini Backpacks. They have often featured various rides, attractions, classic Disney films, and characters.

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

On shopDisney, a new Loungefly mini backpack has been previewed. The new bag is to be inspired by the International Food & Wine Festival at EPCOT. As one of the most popular events at Walt Disney World, the Food & Wine Festival allows theme Park Guests to enjoy international fare not commonly available at EPCOT. Debuting in 1995, it’s become an EPCOT staple and goes on for nearly half the year.

Park Guests can enjoy special limited-time food and beverage options from various booths around EPCOT, each one inspired by a different country or culture’s cuisine or centered on a specific type of food.

This year’s Food & Wine Festival will run from July 27 through November 18 and, in addition to the unique culinary offerings, will also include the Eat to the Beat Concert Series and merchandise special to the theme Park event.

Disney Guests who visit the festival can participate in activities such as Emile’s Fromage Montage, which allows one to sample cheese dishes from around the world. Guests get a Festival Passport and purchase five cheese dishes, each earning a stamp. When the five stamps are earned, Park Guests can redeem a sweet treat unique to the festival.

The Loungefly Mini Backpack

Available for purchase on the first day of the Festival (July 27), the new backpack is white with a large blue sphere – resembling Spaceship Earth. It has blue straps and features a pattern of images containing food items and cooking materials.

It will be available to purchase both on shopDisney.com and at the EPCOT theme park during the festival.
