With roughly 400 dining locations spread throughout Walt Disney World Resort, there is no way Guests can go hungry while on Disney property. There are many Disney Park and Resort kiosks, lounges, quick-service restaurants, table-service restaurants, fine dining experiences, and signature restaurants to be explored.
But would you be willing to spend $1,300 for two to dine for a unique Disney experience? The response from Disney fans is actually rather split.
The recently renovated and reopened Victoria & Albert’s signature dining restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has three dining experiences, including The Dining Room, Queen Victoria’s Room, and the coveted Chef’s Table. Each dining room offers a luxurious experience with different menus and pricing per person.
The Dining Room
The most affordable of Victoria & Albert’s dining experience is within The Dining Room. Guests have the ability to choose from 2 tasting menus. The prix-fixe menu begins at $295.00 per Guest. Optional wine pairings start at $150.00 per Guest. Zero-proof pairings start at $110.00 per Guest.
Ready to go as a couple and include some wine tasting? Your bill will be right around $740… and no, that does not include tax or gratuity.
Queen Victoria’s Room
A chance to “dine like royalty,” the Queen Victoria’s Room offers a space for up to 8 Guests per night. The menu is “course after course of exquisite culinary delights.” This prix-fixe menu is $375.00 per Guest. Optional wine pairings start at $200.00 per Guest. Zero-proof pairings start at $110.00 per Guest.
With no tax or gratuity included, a party of two can expect to spend around $1,150 if planning to enjoy wine with the meal. Want the entire Queen Victoria’s Room to yourself? For all eight Guests (if wine pairing), a party of 8 would be $4,600 before tax or gratuity.
The Chef’s Table
Join the world-class Victoria & Albert’s culinary team in the kitchen as they personally prepare a one-of-a-kind feast. With multiple courses, this dining experience is like a full event with a 3-hour dining session. The Chef’s Table prix-fixe menu is $425.00 per Guest. Optional wine pairings start at $200.00 per Guest. Zero-proof pairings start at $110.00 per Guest.
If including tax and gratuity, a meal for two to dine at the Chef’s Table with wine pairings will be above $1,300.
With ticket prices rising, Disney Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane upcharges, Disney Resort parking charges, and everything in between, we assumed Disney fans would be eager to keep their money in their pockets.
But, when one Disney fan took to social media to share the pricing for Victoria & Albert’s at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, the response was split among Disney fans. Some said the experience was “completely worth it” while others say that expense is “pretty crazy” for Guests to pay.
The voices of many agree they would never pay that price for a meal. It is pointed out that Victoria & Albert’s was never that expensive pre-COVID, but with food costs on the rise, it also isn’t shocking to know Disney increased its meal price.
Others remember their Victoria & Albert’s dining experience and comment with fond memories such as, “It is totally worth it as a once-in-a-lifetime thing. Something you will never forget.”
If you’re looking to experience Victoria & Albert’s for a Disney meal only, there are plenty of places to get a great tasting meal and wine selections throughout Walt Disney World. But, dining at Victoria & Albert’s is an experience… not just a meal. The elevated service and VIP treatment are completely worth the price to some Disney fans.
Of course, we aren’t belittling the award-winning Chefs and paramount taste of the food! But a meal only satisfies the taste buds briefly, while the memories and experience of dining at Victoria & Albert’s will last a lifetime!
Is the money to dine at Victoria & Albert’s really worth it? The fans’ reactions just go to show what is desirable for one person may not be for the next. The great news… it’s your Disney budget, and no one else can tell you how you should or should not spend it!
