Donald Duck

What’s not to love about the number 1 duck? He’s funny, loveable, and a little bit sassy! All of the things that make you love him, right? Whether you’re visiting the Walt Disney World Resort for your first time or one-hundredth time, Donald Duck is probably high up on your list of characters to meet in the Disney Parks and Resorts, especially if he’s your favorite Disney character.

Make sure your plans include all of these character meet-and-greets, attractions, and places to visit during your Disney vacation.

Character Meet-and-Greets and Waves

Of course, Donald Duck is available around Lake Buena Vista to give hugs and high fives, sign autographs, and have fun interactions with. Here are the places to meet Donald in and around the Disney Theme Parks:

  • Mexico Pavilion, EPCOT – Donald dons his sombrero and poncho to meet Guests in World Showcase. You’ll find his meeting spot as you pass along the promenade, with the Mexico Pavilion to your left. Just beyond the trees, when you see an Aztec pyramid, you know you’ll have reached Donald Duck’s meeting spot.

  • Disney Character Caravan – on select days of the week, this fun experience allows Guests to meet Disney pals in their Disney Resort hotel. While you aren’t guaranteed to see Donald, he has been known to join in the fun. Be sure to stop by your Resort lobby to find out the days that you can expect the Disney Character Caravan to stop by during your Disney vacation. This makes for a great experience if you’re taking a day away from a Disney Park.
  • Pete’s Silly Side Show – The Astounding Donaldo is making a return to Storybook Circus in Magic Kingdom. All we know is that he is ‘returning soon,’ along with The Great Goofini. Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks website to find out when they will return.
  • Donald’s Dino-Bash – want to see Donald dressed in a vibrant suit with a fancy hat? Then you definitely want to stop by Dinoland in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Walt Disney Company has confirmed that this fun character experience will be returning soon! For now, be sure to keep a close watch on the Discovery River in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Donald’s Dino-Bash Flotilla passes along it throughout the day, featuring the number 1 duck waving to Guests from the float. A great place to view the float is on the bridge to Africa from Discovery Island.
